More like GO HUET GO! That guy is playing amazing, the saves he made tonight against the Isles was outstanding, Im loving this guy right now. The guy is an unrestricted free agent at season's end, I hope Montreal brings him back, at the least if his play dips Abeischer is there to take his place. But I think he may be the real deal..
HIP HIP HUET!!
he had a 90+ save percentage in LA, and a few shutouts, and has improved upon that by leaps in bounds in Montreal, i think he's the real deal...he has great rebound control, good angling/positioning, a great glove, not to mention he can bomb that puck down the ice, and keep it right on the money...
on a sidenote, Aubin has been really solid for the Leafs in the two games he's played, and i wonder, had they turned to him a little earlier in the season, might not they still be in contention for 8th?
i just checked, and Huet's .930 save percentage is actually THE BEST IN THE LEAGUE (at least among goalies with 10+ wins)!
I couldn't believe it when I heard that Huet was actually from France....I thought he was just another product of the Quebec Major Junior goalie factory. He sure is something else...goes to show you how a goalie can still steal victories in this League.
As far as Aubin goes...he has always played second fiddle to Tellqvist in terms of candidacy for the backup role. From what I have heard about him, he doesn't have the greatest work ethic and has a blase attitude to being in the minors... and that has been the difference...if that is the case, I don't feel bad for him one bit.

I HATE Sean Avery. He had been chirping Iginla all game and so Iginla takes a run at him and what does Avery do? He watches him, watches him, watches him, then turns at the last minute so it's a check from behind into the boards. And of course, Avery complains about the non-call. What a despicable piece of garbage. I absolutely can't stand him. No decency whatsoever.

Well, they technically still are...

Agreed. Biggest douchebag in the NHL. It was a beautiful moment when Phaneuf knocked him on his ass. As for the game, it was great to see the Flames get back to playing the speedy hard-hitting style that they're known for. Their effort on their recent 7 game road trip was average at best. With 6 of their final 10 games at home, here's hoping they can string a few W's together and win the division. Friday's game against Colorado is gonna be HUGE!
GO FLAMES!!!
finally, Koivu delivered big time in O.T. to help the habs pick up that all important 2nd point...
what an exciting to finish to the season this year...both East and West.
Man, the Flames absolutely schooled the Avs tonight. I love it. This was easily their best 60-minute effort of the season. They hit everything that moved, they used their speed, and their aggressive forecheck gave Colorado fits all night long. If they can beat the Oilers tomorrow night, this might be the start of a great roll going into the playoffs. The mighty Dion Phaneuf had another amazing game as well. This kid is simply unreal. F**k Crosby and Ovechkin. As far as I'm concerned, Phaneuf deserves the Calder. Yeah, that's right. I said it.
Up next, the Edmonton Horseshoes. Bring it on!
Big game tonight....Sabres @ Leafs!
Go Sabres! 1 more point to clinch a playoff spot...Let's do it tonight!
Henrik Lundqvist...Sidney Crosby...Dion Phaneuf...it's crazy that with the seasons those 3 have put together, one of them won't even be a finalist for the Calder. It's pretty much set in stone that Alex Ovechkin is going to win it, and my bet is on Crosby & Lundqvist being the other 3 finalists.

Settle down cowboy. 8)
Well, I guess I can take consolation in the 1 point Van salvaged from the Wild . 8)
That move that Lombardi made on the penalty shot was sweet.....but was it just me or was that a weak call? A penalty for hooking maybe, but a penalty shot?!?
One thing I've noticed about this Flames team - they win every game they need to win.
