The Monday/Tuesday night Leafs are awful. (0-3-2)
The rest of the week Leafs are better. (6-4-1)
Their inability to show up for early week games is baffling. Those five losses include being outscored 29-11, and losses to Washington and Atlanta, and a third period meltdown against the now crappy Sabres. I mean at what point do you start questioning the coach's inability to get the guys motivated for these early week games?!?

its gonna be a loooong season.
It's gonna be more than a looooog season. That Penner signing is
gonna bite 'em in the ass for quite some time.
Yeah, there's that - plus we're paying way too much for a mediocre player. It was just a bad idea all around. The only positive I can see in the situation is that Burke has gone off on some funny tirades as a result.

lol are you kidding me?? penner has only been here 5 weeks!! The guy is gonna be an incredible player in a couple of years, which is where the real value comes in. no one expected him to come in and score 10 goals in his first 15 games! that we have been playing poorly is not his fault, and he has been steadily improving his play and physical presence. he scored a goal against minny and got an assist the other night. he is not playing anywhere near as badly as some of the guys on our team (ie. stoll, torres). once we get over this rash of injuries and get moreau, pitkanen, & souray back we'll be better than we are now.
Penner's points last season on a deep team: 45.
His pace this season on a thin team: 41.
He is what he's shown. No one expected him to score 10 gaols in 15 games, correct, but he's getting paid like a guy who should be on pace for more than 15 goals.
It was a bad signing by a desperate GM.
yes, we're overpaying him this year. in two years...probably not.

Lowe
was looking to save his job...I guess it worked, cause he got a four year extension.
Gotta love the stubby, that's hilarious.
Funny enough I just came across this.. <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/11/09/gary-colemans-selling-his-gamecube-on-ebay/">http://www.joystiq.com/2007/11/09/gary- ... e-on-ebay/</a><!-- m -->
Wow...nice to see Raycrap can handle the 3rd worst team in the conference.....
On a semi-positive note, if the Blues can overcome a 3-2 lead by the Hawks going into the 3rd, my Pro-Line ticket pays off......Atlanta Win = check! Detroit Win = check! Toronto Win by 2 = check!

I'm a casual hockey fan.
I'll watch all the playoff games I can, and I'll have a game on in the background if I'm doing work in my room at night.
Heck, I'll even catch highlights the next day on The Score.
I just wanted to say...
That Senators / Habs game was the most entertaining game I've seen this year.
The closest 3 - 1 game I think I've seen in a while.
That pic is disturbing, cfern. Seriously.

hock:
Anybody else see Roenick's 500th "goal" against Phoenix? Ugly....he shouldn't have even accepted it! I wonder if Alex Auld owed him one or something...

Now that he's scored 500...I don't see him finishing the season.
And on another prognosticative note...the Antropov vs. Naslund watch continues.
Nik Antropov- 9 Goals
Markus Naslund- 4 Goals
ALSO- Cheers to me finally getting to 1000 posts!!!
