I can't tell if you are being serious. I'll assume you are kidding. Alfredsson, in the third period, took the dive of the playoffs so far. It was worthy of a gold medal for sure. Fisher slew footed Marty Brodeur, with the most obvious goalie interference yet in the playoffs, which was mysteriously missed by the referees. Yeah, the Sens have it bad. Confusedcratch:

 you got it. aside from all the bullshit going on in that series i gotta admit, its the most entertaining second round matchup to watch. it sucks that the games lone goal (aside form the empty netter) came with brodeur being interfered with but now i guess their even with the allowed buzzer beater goal in game two.... at least Sens fans might look at it this way.
Brodeur or Crosby for MVP

Malkin for Calder

Phalsson for Selke

Jack Adams, i'd say, Therien...can't reward Alain for Luongo's play...especialy seeing as it's gonna be hard enough for Luongo to get some hardware...

Norris...i dunno, i'd give it to Lidstrom i think

Lady Byng, Joe Sakic

Pearson...Lecavallier, unless Crosby doesn't win the MVP, then Crosby...even though this one is voted on by the nhlpa...)

Vezina - Luongo...for sure, i dunno, he's gotta fuckin win something for the way he played this year...although so does Brodeur though...

You're right. The timekeeper did screw the Sens. I'll concede that. It's one of the few, and maybe only, times I've seen the Sens on the wrong end of officiating.

The following passage pretty much tells you all you need to know about the Senators and the organization:

Coach Bryan Murray said Brodeur's foot was out of the crease and Fisher was directed toward him by a defenceman, so it was ''accidental contact. They just happened to touch feet.''

Fisher was directed toward him. Yeah, ok.

Mike Fisher added his two cents of unreasonable nonsense:

''I guess I did clip him, but that's part of the game.''

Yeah, Fisher is right. No big deal. Interfering with a goalie and being the only reason the shot went by the goalie isn't that big of a deal. No, it was nothing really. It's not like it was a scoreless game at the time or anything. It's not like the Sens were being stoned by Brodeur and couldn't get anything past him when they were abiding by the rules and regulations of the game. :? :? :?

I can only imagine the amount of spit coming out of Murray's mouth if it had been the other way around and Emery was blatantly interfered with, directly resulting in a goal.

Luongo had a great year without a doubt, but Brodeur beat him in every statistical category. Luongo's time will come, but this year I can't see how to justify giving him the edge over Brodeur.
cuz he had the fucking Canucks to work with! LOL!

let them trade places and see who has the better numbers...

You'd probably see the exact same results. The Devils of today are not the defensive power-house they were when Stevens and Niedermayer patrolled the blue line. And the Canucks also gave Luongo better goal support, scoring 2.65 goals per game, vs. 2.51 for NJ (27th in the league, btw).

HAHAHAHA!!!! i like that one.

as much as i hate the Sens and Murray i still want to see them win the series, mainly for two reasons.... one is the obvious, only Canadian team in the east and the other to see Lou Lamoriello lose just for being that much of a dick to fire Claude Julian in the final week of the season to think he can lead the team in a better direction.
i agree, I already hated the devils, but after that, it is at an all time high...

he barely deserved to be let go in Montreal...

then he leads his new team to win the division...they fire him...what a load of B.S.!

I'm not sure which 'dive' you are referring to. Is the dive Alfredsson took after Langenbruner stuck out his right leg (in the process, tripping him) to prevent an Ottawa short-handed 2 on 1 with a little less then 10 minutes left? Thats the only time I saw Alfredsson parallel to the ice in the third period.

Regarding the Fisher/Brodeur contact, it appeared incidental to me, and if it was, it isn't a penalty. Even it it wasn't incidental, both goalies were beneficiaries of more impeding contact then that a dozen times in the game; the only difference being, of course, that a goal was scored shortly after this contact, but that is irrelevant. Contact is contact (assuming it was intentional), and the referees set standards for the game.

And I'm not sure why you think Murray is any more aggressive then any of the other 29 coaches in the NHL. Based on what I have witnessed, nearly every coach in the NHL displays sporadic bouts of insanity, with both Ruff and Tortorello living in that state for nearly all sixty minutes of the game. I've never seen Murray anything but calm in post-game conferences or interviews.
I'm can't recall the Stafford/Jagr incident off the top of my head tragicallymike, so i can't really say anything about it.

As for the Trophy's...

Hart...I think Roberto Luongo should win it, but Sidney Crosby will.
Vezina...really tough, both Luongo & Brodeur are deserving.
Pearson...i think Vincent Lecavalier should win, but Crosby likely will.
Selke...Rod Brind'Amour
Norris...Nick Lidstrom
Bying...i'll go with Joe Sakic
Bill Masterton...Jed Ortmeyer
Adams...i don't care
BUFFALO GOT FUCKED!!! HOW IS THAT NOT A GOAL???????
I actually agreed with the call (and no I'm not just saying that because i'm a NYR fan).
The puck very well could have been over the line, and honestly it probably was...but fact remains there was no camera angle which could 100% conclusively show that the puck was completely over the line.

2 straight games with contraversial non-goals in this game.
opiated Wrote:BUFFALO GOT FUCKED!!! HOW IS THAT NOT A GOAL???????

Everyone knows it is over the line...BUT, you just can't see it. :x

They really should get some better angles on that somehow. With all the technology, if you are going to have replay, it should be 100% accurate.

Anyways...not complaining one bit about the loss. Buffalo shouldn't have let it come down to pulling Miller trying to score so late.

Series gets really interesting now.

Will Afinogenov get back in the lineup? Plus, Gaustad is supposedly healthy. Who comes out? The lines were shaken up in the third, and it seemed to work. Hopefully Buffalo can carry momentum into the next game.

Please do not let the "No Goal Part 2" turn the face of the playoffs around for the Sabres! I expect them to bounce back in HSBC Friday.

Till then...
It obviously was a goal.. the NHL embarrasses itself yet again. As if they didn't know something like this could (would) happen.
