I have to ask about Bettman's comment regarding High Def...I thought that the majority of the late broadcasts since last November-ish have been in High Def...perhaps my eyes were deceiving me??? And as for the reduced Leaf content, I'll believe it when I see it. Where did you see the "23, instead of 28" information???
I got that from the Globe and Mail

As for the Hi-def, for the most part the late games have been done in widescreen standard definition this year. It's better than non-widescreen, but not as good as true HD. The problem has been that CBC has only had one HD production truck, so if it wanted to do more than one game in HD, it would have to rent a truck from someone else (which it did do a few times this season). Apparently their second HD truck has just come online, so from here on out there shouldn't be any trouble with having two HD games a week (and hopefully lots more for playoffs!)
Get it right, it called Hockey Night in Toronto

Remember when Theodore won the Hart?? Oh, how the times have changed...
cferneyh Wrote:tigerthelion Wrote:Anyone here go on their team's message boards? I just hopped over to the board on the Canuck's official site. I could only look for about two minutes. Most of the fans defend the players like they are part of their family. Seriously, on the radio Naslund was being criticized (rightfully so) and the responses from the fans on the board were comical. They ranged from "maybe those guys should be real fans and support their team" to "Nazzy has enough to deal with other than being ridiculed left and right" to "Nazzy is playing a more defensive role and sacrificing his points to help the team" to "they're just bandwagon fans". Ah yes, the wonderful use of 'bandwagoner'. Fans like to use that word quite a bit. :rambo: I guess it's against the rules to tell the truth about a hockey team and its players.
hock:
hock: Naslund ISN'T a leader, Naslund isn't producing like he should, and Naslund is stealing a paycheck this season. Those are the realities of the situation. I'm glad I have a brain that allows me to see things for what they are. :thumb:
But how is that different to reaction around here if someone posts something about not liking World Container or not being impressed with the most recent Hip concert they went to? People who post disenting opinions at a fan forum of any type are likely to get jumped all over. It's the nature of the beast.
Yeah, you're right. It is no different.

Haha, Theodore stole the Hart Trophy from Iginla that season if I remember correctly. :rambo:
Brodeur tells it like it is. I like reading his thoughts.

we were down 2-0 after 1, now were up 3-2, what a game!
GO HABS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:jump :jump
The Habs came out flying in the 2nd, and the Rangers had some horrible defensive lapses. None of the 4 goals were Henrik Lundqvist's fault, but at the same time even in the first period i just didn't think he look all that sharp.
And great, Stephen Valiquette has just let his first goal in, 5-2 Montreal now

This is depressing....
the pens have finally reached 1st in the atlantic  ....of course it`ll only last for about 20 minutes :x
wow..these 'nucks/avs games sure aren't as intense as they used to be

hock:
I should of waited to start the victory screams, its 5-4 with 8 mins left..
come on Habs put this game away.
