Yup, another win for the Flames. 3-0 over the hapless Boston Bruins. Kipper with the shutout. All is well with the universe.
Nice come back win for the Oilers. I really wish Hemsky would shoot the puck more!
of course the SABRES WIN....thats 13 in a row for marty biron and 29 out of a possible 32 points in their last 16 games.......buffalo is real good!
:x :x I cant catch a break lately, Montreal lost to Minnesota..why did it have to be Sundstrom (who missed) who got the penalty shot? Sad

Hopefully when Kovalev gets back things will get better, they have to, they cant get worse!

Pretty friggin amazing run I have to say. Especially when you look at the individual player stats and realize how much of a team effort it has been. But how on Earth is Chris Drury minus 10?!?
Well, I was at the Pens-Sabres sell out last night and it was an amazing game. The Pens came out pretty flat in the first period except for Sidney's pretty outside in move for his goal. The Sabres were up 3-1 after 1. The second was uneventful save for the Sabres' bank in goal off a Penguins defeceman. The third was a great period of hockey. The Pens stormed back to make it 4-3 and there were great chances at both ends of the ice. I couldn't believe that the Pens didn't score on that chance with 30 secs left!! Biron made an unbelievable stop. Anyway, a great time was had by all. Sid the Kid did not disappoint.

I had a feeling the Oilers would come back from the 4-2 deficit. The Canucks can't hold leads well, especially against the Oilers. That Peca winner was weak though. His backhand move was in slow motion. Smile

and his interference on sedin not called helped him get so open

You know, I really didn't see any "interference" on the play. It looked like incidental contact to me. Regardless, fun game to watch. My favourite part was after the OT goal when Greg Millen said that Crawford was going CRAZY on the bench so the camera cuts to him and he's just standing there. Greg Millen is a boob.

that was pretty funny...as for "incidental contact", that's what they've been calling as interference all year long, if it gets a player in an open position..

Yeah, if there is stick work involved. But all I saw (and I'll be the first to admit I wasn't watching that closely) is two guys taking different angles bumping into each other. I didn't see Peca use his stick.

i think the stick was involved, and i've seen interference called for way less..however, the nucks shouldn't have blown the lead, but why is auld not starting that game?? huge mistake on crawfords part...

:x Cry

Will this be another example of the Sens dominating the Leafs in the regular season, while the Leafs beat the Sens when it counts, in the playoffs?

Yes, I know I'm reaching here... but have a heart, don't crush a guy's dreams during the Christmas season!

I have to say, how in the h-e-double hockey sticks is Buffalo DOING this??? I guess just like cfern said, it is one true, total team effort. Seems like they get just enough defence and definitely enough goaltending, and then someone different each night provides the offence. An annoying team to lose to because you (probably mistakenly) think, "who are these guys, they don't have anyone!", but the type of team you can really get behind if you are one of their fans.

That was an excellent game! Skill, speed, hitting, a little overtime, it had it all.

Edmonton and Vancouver play again Wed. night, then Fri. night it's Calgary/Vancouver. These matchups among the western Canadian teams are some of my favourite because they are usually great hockey games... I sure hope these measure up! :thumb:

Boy, I hope so. And the way the Leafs have been playing over the past couple of weeks it looks like if they make the playoffs they'll face the Sens in the first round. Gulp! I can't bear the thought of Stephen Dame's Leaf bashing poetry for a full offseason. Cry

So, do you think Doug MacLean is glad he traded for Fedorov (14 GP, 6 PTS, -4, $6.1 million) rather than Jason Allison (32 GP, 30 PTS, -4, $4.5 million)? Man, I can't believe he's still a GM. He and Milbury must have pictures of Bettman doing something inappropriate. There is no other explanation.
