what a shitty game between Toronto/Montreal...
i'm fucking sick of Ninimaa's crap...this guys hasn't done a single thing to help the team thus far, and he takes stupid penalties.

Really? I thought it was awesome!
I gotta admit that I wasn't too positive on the Leafs' prospects this season, but damn - they are looking good. Paul Maurice for coach of the year!
i know you were pleased with the end result, but you can't tell me that was a good hockey game...

Any win - especially one without Sundin and Raycroft - is a good hockey game in my books.
And of the record, the Leafs have outshot the Habs 93-48 in their last two games. I'm thinking the Habs need to work on their defensive zone coverage a little, which is ironic given who their coach and GM are.
ya...i dunno, The Leafs seem to always step it up a notch against the habs...i dunno if it's the rivalry, familiarity, the fans...
this has been going on for a while too now, years...
Montreal could've had a chance to win this one had it not been for all of the dumb penalties they took...i'm not worried though, they haven't lost consecutive games yet this season, so i'm sure they'll be able to bounce back against the stuggling Sens on monday night, and get everything going again before heading south to face th elightning and panthers.
Flames win again!!! 4 in a row, baby! We didn't really deserve that one tonight, but it's 2 points on the road. We'll take it. The 'Nucks must be kicking themselves for blowing that 2 goal lead. But hey, that's what happens when you make Jarome mad. That was the best game I've seen him play so far this year. The guy was a monster out there. Kipper was amazing as usual, and it was nice to see Huselius get the winner.
Sabres do it once again!
Playing like this is going to catch up with them sooner or later. In any case, it is nice to see that they don't quit until the final whistle.
Nice to enter OT 2 nights in a row on the PP!

Not bad for 5 starters out

Reminds me of last year's playoffs.
Connolly
Afinegenov
Tallinder
Lydman
Miller
That hurts quite a bit.
I have to say that Paetsch, Stafford and Paille have filled the void quite nicely. Even Card looked alright last night. I also love that Lindy Ruff puts the young guys out there in all situations. Hell, even Stafford was out there a couple games ago in OT. It has to give them loads of confidence and will payoff next season.
Didn't the Leafs beat the Sabres last time they met? Leafs have had trouble with Buffalo in recent years, can they catch them in the standings?... maybe not, but I didn't think they'd be doing this good this season. Ottawa and Boston.....you gotta love it.

Yeah, Matt Cooke and Luongo were responsible for losing the game. Cooke for WAKING UP IGGY and Luongo for letting in two goals that he should have had. Luongo got outplayed by the opposing goalie YET AGAIN but at least this time it was Kipper and not someone like Fernandez or Theodore. Is there any reason why the Canucks kept Matt Cooke? Is there any particular reason why they drafted Kesler in the first round?
Taylor Pyatt for comeback player of the year!

I'm kidding of course. This just goes to show that Carter wasn't that special and I wouldn't be surprised if Pyatt equals Carter's goal total of last season. It also goes to show that the Sedins are indeed two of the best playmakers in the game. They aren't superstars yet but their ability to make average players look above average is quite a site to behold.

Personally, I think they can catch them this year at some point. They seem to me to be that team that will be the thorn in our side this year.
I do however, greatly dislike the Leafs. Here's to hoping they lose a few in a row and give us some breathing room on top of the Northeast.
I will be awaiting the game 11/22 in Buffalo between the two. Going to try to find my way into the arena that night somehow too!
Go Sabres :rambo:

Just wait until he disappears...for like 20 games.
I like the way he plays, but he can be very inconsistent at times.
