Canadiens bullshit...
Go Bruins Go !
Ya, no.
Everyone has the Habs losing this thing in 5 or 6. The "pros" ( ) at sportsnet didn't pick montreal at all. Everyone needs to realize that the playoffs are a different season and stop this "Boston is an unstopable force" junk. They've won nothing yet.
In fact, they haven't won since 1972. And I predict that trend will continue. If not to Montreal, then to anybody they meet in the 2nd round.
Well, I guess we will have to see who wins !! I have seen the Canadiens beat us (Bruins) for many years...Hopefully its our turn and we will pound the Habs into the ice...
I guess a friendly bet is in order?? (lol) I predict the Bruins will win. Because we have better goaltending, better defense (least goals against this year), more offensive depth, and overall more toughness and character.
Go Bruins Go !

I still dont think that will help the Isles cause, with the Lighthouse project on its way (I think), they need a big name player to build around and keep the team in place. The owner [Wang] is ready to move the team if he doesnt get his way. Having Tavares to sell the team to the public will help his cause.
I dont see it happening, but Burke has pulled some draft day surprises before, either way it looks like an entertaining draft days is upon us.
I find it funny how Schenn is talked about like a golden god in Toronto, he's a fairly solid defensive defenseman but he will never have an offensive upside. Ken Holland has said in the past that he doesn't feel defensive defenseman should be paid as much as offensive defenseman and I agree. It's like the situation with the Habs right now, rumor had it earlier in the season that the Bolts wanted Markov for Vinny, you never heard anything about them wanting Komisarek. Defensive guys like that are easy to find. I'm not saying guys like Komisarek and Schenn and Jason Smith and Craig Rivet aren't valuable to their team, because they are extremely important I just don't understand the rabid hype about Schenn. I guess Leafs fans need something to get excited about.

I'm quite happy to get excited over a defensive defenceman. We haven't had a good one in a while. It's nice when there's an offensive upside, but I feel like the defensive side of the game is the most important for a defenceman. I take Schenn over a mid 2000s McCabe any day.
It'll be interesting to see how Burke tries to trade up for the #1 spot. He's a bulldog, but that might take a small miracle. In any case, draft day will be interesting.
1 down, 15 to go

...damn i love watching the flyers lose
The Rangers can thank Henrik Lundqvist for tonights win, he was brilliant, especially in the 1st period. The Caps came out flying & had an early powerplay, but Lundqvist was up to the task. The Rangers stole the game. He easily outplayed Jose Theodore. Alex Ovechkin played a heck of a game, i don't know how many minutes he ended up playing, but it seemed like he never left the ice, and he had soo many quality chances. The Caps were relentless on the forecheck in the early going, and the Rangers just looked overwhelmed in their own zone.
I fully expected Drury to be in the line-up tonight, so it was a huge blow to find out moments before puck drop that he was scratched. Drury played pretty good down the stretch, and he played two of his best games of the season in must win games, in particular his 2 goal performance against the Habs. Thankfully the Rangers get an extra day off before Game 3, so hopefully the captain will be able to go.
Here's hoping the rest of the series is as entertaining as game 1 was!
Did anyone happen to be watching Sportsnet tonight? Roger Millions was previewing tonights Flames/Hawks game, and about mid sentence, after the line "Flames defensemen Corey Sarich", he paused breifly, then said "cocksucker", than paused a bit longer while looking down, then looks up at the camera & says something like it was going so well haha...they then cut back to MacLean, Kipper & Mallard (who let out a little chuckle haha) in the studio

K, so Montreal lost. It was a very entertaining game, and I think that the Habs gave the Bruins something to think about. I still think Montreal can take this, especially if they can play with the same grit they had tonight.
Also, I thought Laraque had one hell of a game. I hope Gainey keeps him in the line-up! :thumb:

 I bet the big man will be completely gassed after this one, he held his own though, he hustled very hard tonight. Nice seeing Komisarek send a little message at the end there too
It could have gone either way, we fell apart the second half of the third..its going to be a tough battle to win this series, Im thinking we need the split or its curtains.
Brisebois sucked ass tonite that was clear, Pleckanec was useless, and Kostitsyn..does this guy even care?
Andrei Kostitsyn is the new Micheal Ryder as far as Im concerned.
At least Price was solid in net.
Cant wait for Sat. :jump
The Habs were all over them if it wasn't for that shit penalty by Gorges they had them! :rambo:

Yeah, you hate to blame it on one guy, but that was a killer, and totally unecessary. Especially at the time of the game, you gotta be smarter than that.
