I sure dont want him, he stinks. I'd say trade him but we'd get nothing good back, if all we could get for Roy was Kovalenko, Rucinsky and Thibault, what the hell would we get for Theo? Of course Gainey isn't as stupid as Savard was thankfully.

Cry for me Argentina!

Cry for you, my ass!

Of course, I need to revel in the sufferings of fans of other teams... 'cause I can't cheer on the accomplishments of my team now, seeing as how they SUCK right now! Sad

You're right, they should cry for you, its been almost 40 years since your team won anything.

What was with Kesler and Iginla? I thought Iginla would murder him but that didn't happen. Kesler might have even gotten the decision....Baldie Auldie played solid again. The top line was invisible yet again. It's becoming more apparent that the real number one line in Vancouver is Sedin-Sedin-Carter. That just isn't right! Tongue
Just finished watching the Rangers/Flyers game...the Rangers are now in 1st place in the Atlantic Smile
Rangers jumped out to a 2-0 lead, but the Flyers battled back to tie it up and went ahead on Mike Knuble's 2nd goal of the game. What a finish that made for though! With just under a minute left, Tom Renny called a timeout, and then with Lundqvist on the bench went with 6 forwards, with Straka and Rucinsky on the points. Straka slid it over to Ruca who blasted it, Michael Nylander tipped it, and then it was tipped yet again by Petr Sykora. That sent the game to overtime, where Rucinsky set up Jaromir Jagr for a onetimer for the game winner....yet another OT goal for Jagr, his 35th goal and 80th point of the season.
Colton Orr was dressed for the second game in a row tonight, and fought Donald Brasher.

The bad news though were injuries on both fronts. The Flyers lost Petr Nedved to a groin injury and Chris Therian left the game with a head injury. Petr Prucha sprained his knee as well on a hit from Turner Stevenson. This is only the 2nd key player the Rangers are without, Blair Betts being the other, but man those Flyers are having it tough.

And it hasn't even been close. The funny thing is that the Sedins + Carter make a total of $3.5 million, and that hack Morrison makes $3.2 million all on his own.

Thats it? Those guys must want a raise real bad..lol. What a steal those twins were, at the time they were drafted I thought it was a gamble trading for the 2nd and 3rd picks to get them, actually I cant remember what Vancouver gave to do that at the time. But looking back at the 99 draft it was a smart move.. http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/draft/nhl1999e.html

Wow. That's one horrible draft. Stefan #1, Brendl #4, Kris Beech #7? Yikes. Looking back on old drafts is always fun to see just how inexact scouting can be. I mean Luca Cereda was drafted by the Leafs before Martin Havlat? :x
Yeah, the Sedins have turned out better than I thought they would and they look good compared to other top picks in that draft year.

I can't understand why the Canucks paid so much to Morrison. :x I think him being a BC boy has as much to do with it as his actual play on the ice.

I don't know why but the Canucks can't beat the Oilers. Confusedcratch:
HUET!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ryder with the trick, Habs looked great today vs. the Flyers, hopefully things get better from here. If your the GM right now what do you do, is Huet the real deal, or do you trade Theo for another goalie or trade Theo for players and stick with Huet... :? I have a feeling the fans will run Theo out of town soon, should be interesting to see how this plays out.

GO HABS!!
The Flyers are just devasted with injuries now and it looks like they're FINALLY catching up to them. Just today, they were without Peter Forsberg, Keith Primeau, Petr Nedved, Eric Desjardins, Kim Johnsson and Chris Therian. And it's been like that all season, on average they have 5 people out every game due to injury.
Jani Pitkanen (the teams best offensive defensemen with 25 points in 30 games) has missed a lot of time, Simon Gagne missed a couple of weeks, Sami Kapanen was out for 20+ games, Robert Esche was hurt for an extended period, etc. It's amazing really that until yesterday they were able to hold on to 1st in their division.

Regardless, it was an impressive win by the Canadiens today and it looks like they might be starting to get things back on track - same goes for the Leafs. I did see that Waddell today made a statement that the Thrashers will make the playoffs Smile That's a pretty bold statement, and personally i don't see the Thrashers making it. It should be one hell of a race down the stretch though, with Toronto, Montreal, Boston, Altanta, and even the NYIslanders and Florida all in the hunt for that last playoff spot (not that teams like NJ and TB are safe by anymeans).

GO HABS!!

I saw Mike Ribiero the other day defending Theo and saying it's bs how the media and fans have turned on him. Maybe Ribiero has the pull to keep his buddy Theo in town. Tongue .......or maybe Ribiero will be shipped out just as it appears to be with Theodore.
If they managed to trade Ribeiro and Theo together, Ill be real happy. That Ribeiro is a waste of space imo. I feel bad trashing Theo, he did play great for us in the past and if he somehow regains his old form Ill welcome him back with open arms, but they way he's played lately has me worried he might not shake this problem soon. I have a suspiscion that Gainey will keep him, he seems sure that he will bounce back, plus it will be hard to trade him with that salary.
