I thought for sure the series was over when the Canes went up 3 games to 1. This is awesome! Can't wait for game 7!!

And is Beckett Hockey ever going to look bad if the Oilers win, as they've already printed their covers with "Canes Capture the Cup" with a picture of Eric Staal. Their deadline was after game 2 & they decided to go ahead with the Carolina cover.

Was I only one who was disgusted by that breakaway in the second period? An Oiler (not sure who, I was downstairs where it's muted) had a breakaway, perfect chance to score, until he passed it BACKWARDS, where nobody was. Blah.

Ron MacLean needs a holiday. He said at the end of Coach's Corner "And remember kids; When blocking shots, turn your head, or you'll get hit there, and then you'll have a big head." That makes little to no sense.

That was Samsonov who passed backwards. :?

Regarding the MacLean comment, he was tying in the topic of blocking shots to Cherry's bragging and saying it was hard to be humble.. i.e. having a big head. He always tries to be funny like that at the end of Coach's Corner.. :roll:

Too bad for you real Oiler fans, but it was a hell of a run and I hope you are still quite happy with how far they went. I remember at the beginning of the season looking at that roster and being baffled as to who was going to put the puck in the net. I sure couldn't imagine them getting to Game 7 of the Cup final. :thumb:
