I'm sure glad i took Iggy in the 3rd round of my hockey pool

if it was the flamers who had won that many in a shootout, you wouldn't be saying a damn thing...

Is this directed at me? I hope the Flames lose every game. I'm a Canucks fan. :rambo: The shootout is a farce. If the Canucks had 10 wins from the shootout, I'd still say it is a complete farce. Terrible way to decide a hockey game.

START CLEMMENSEN IF TOSKALA IS INJURED!!!!
great effort by the nucks last night..missing some key player, another gritty win...suck on that Flames
Anybody else notice that the NHL is promoting and pushing the outdoor Winter Classic 1000 times harder than they pushed the Heritage Classic a few years ago? I've seen ads on all types of networks, in Sports Illustrated, the internet, etc.
Unlike the Heritage Classic, this game will be shown on both sides of the border; and don't give me this "Edmonton-Montreal game was only shown in Canada because they're both Canadian teams" BS. A huge historical game like that should be shown to as many people as possible. The NHL has this game being shown on NBC, and I'm sure the Heritage Classic wasn't pushed like that! (And they had a Legends game featuring Gretzky, Messier, Lafleur, Fuhr, etc.)
Just another ignorant move by the NHL to obviously favour the US, and not the birthplace and the true home of hockey, Canada.
Anyone here catch the Winter Classic outdoor game today?
Wish the ice had held up a little better, but despite the lengthy stoppages, it was a good game.
I hope they make these outdoor games an annual thing.

Despite the ice problems it was fun to watch, I agree it should be an annual thing a Toronto-Montreal outdoor game would be awesome. But in Gary Buttman's NHL it all revolves around the US and Crosby, so lets not hold our breath. Maybe they could have two outdoor games, one in Canada one in the States, with original six teams or something.. just an idea.
Nice to see the Flames finally snag 2 points from the Canuckleheads. I was getting really tired of losing to those chumps. Kipper was awesome last night.

I was watching from home - it was pretty damn cool.
My brother called me from the game itself, he was sitting in a suite with The Sam Roberts Band. Lucky bastard.
