Yep, he's going to start the game on a line with Pavel Datsyuk. Here's hoping he has a big night, god knows i could use the points in hockey pool!
Horrible night for the Rangers & Leafs. Tampa Bay, Carolina, Islanders and Montreal all winning Sad

This same scenario happened last year...we were trying to make up some points and on off-nights everyone we were trying to catch won and whenever we won so did those same teams...it's so frustrating, but you can't give up hope. My biggest fear is tying in points with one or two teams and losing on the tie breaker of most games won...because right now we are trailing everyone in that category badly...arghhhh

the 'nucks are only 5 points out of first overall...unreal

And somewhere in Anaheim, Brian Burke is taking credit for it.

That Luongo for Bertuzzi + roster filler trade looks better and better by the week. Hey, weren't you and tiger bitching about Nonis needing to be fired at about this time last year? Tongue

i might have, i honestly don't think i was though...i do know that tiger wasn't diggin luongo that long ago Tongue

I can't remember back that far but I probably was ragging on Nonis. Hey, Luongo has turned it around. He was average for the first two months of the season. He's turned up his play 10 notches since then.
What a massive win for the Flames tonight! It's Nice to see them playing Sutter hockey again. They beat the top two teams in the conference simply by hitting everything that moves, using their speed, and forechecking like mad. I have no idea what Sutter & the coaching staff said to the troops during their closed-door meeting the other day, but it obviously worked. Suddenly they look like the Flames of old, but with the added scoring punch that was missing in '04 and '06. The boys are finally coming together at just the right time.

Now if only the Oilers could do us a little favor tomorrow night. C'mon Edmonton, show some damn pride. Your losing streak has to end sometime and it might as well be tomorrow.

GO FLAMES!!!
Big win for the Habs, hopefully the Sabres can do the double on the Leafs this weekend.

They came out pretty flat in the first period, I thought the Bruins were going to take it to us, but then the real Bruins showed up in the second half of the game, nice comback by the Habs.

LETS GO SABRES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tongue

At this point I dont care who makes it in just as long as Montreal does, but if they dont I hope it will wake a few people in the orginization up. We need some big changes if we want to really compete next year. If Souray bolts to L.A. as is the rumor he needs to be replaced, and I hope we can finally sign a decent FA or two for a change.
2 thoughts watching the leafs/sabres game....Glen Healy is a douche, and is it any wonder why people HATE the leafs

one more thought :thumb: is that glen healy crying in the background i hear?????
The Leafs are falling apart in the 3rd period, I thought the game was pretty much over & had 2 points chalked up for the Leafs. If they don't find a way to come back & win this game, this is going to be an extremely tough one to take.

Now do you believe!!! (and all that stuff)

A tale of 2 different bus rides for that 100 mile trek to Toronto tonight.
Me neither as they are one of the teams chasing the Rangers. Otherwise though I would be cheering for the Leafs to get in.
WHAT THE F**K IS WRONG WITH THE LEAFS.

they are the leafs.

Plus, the effort they put in during the first 2 periods wore them out.
Sabres pulled the rope-a-dope.

Leafs probably spent tomorrow night's energy too.

Two words: Andrew Raycroft.

Granted, it was a complete team collapse, but sometimes you just need to have a goalie who can rise to the occasion and not give up 4 goals in 10 minutes of the third period when your season is on the line.
