as for the Habs, all teams have bad nights, we lucked out and got a point Sat.

Don't worry, I'll enjoy NHL hockey in April just as much as I am enjoying it right now. Some of us don't stop watching the playoffs when our teams choke in the 1st round.

Just my two cents here. Who the heck cares about which team does better? It's sports for crying out loud. It's so insignificant that it's not even funny. I don't have control over how well a team I cheer for does so it doesn't bother me too much when the Canucks lose or the Suns lose or the Indians lose or the Bills lose. I'd like to see them go all the way but if they don't, well that's life. It's sports. Who cares if someone cheers for 20 teams or one team. I mean, I am interested in watching the Canucks but once they're out of the playoffs I don't have much interest in watching the rest of the playoffs. Some people don't have a favourite team and just watch hockey no matter which teams are playing. It's sports. How well your team does does not reflect on you as a person so why all the squabbling?

Be thankful that you are a fan that can watch sports as entertainment. Once it gets a hold of you, it becomes part of your being. As much as you want to fight it, you can't. When a season starts and you know your team has no chance, you are still drawn and it still hurts. The Bills and the Sabres are part of me. Thankfully, the Sabres can give me hope this year. I don't how it is where you are, but for many people in Buffalo, the Bills and Sabres a way of life. We live and die with our teams. When the Bills played the Dolphins this year, our old coach Mike Mularkey said it best, "you beat the Bills, you beat the whole city". I haven't missed attending a home Bills game since 1999. And 26 Sabres games last season. At least the Sabres are providing a needed distraction.

Whose watching the flyers/blackhawks game? How appropriate, the fans are decked out in bozo the clown wigs!!!!! :mrgreen:

ahh, finally something i can agree with you on...

it's true...i spend so much time reading/watching/listening to and about sports...even though the playoffs just ended...i still check yankees.com every day...to see if they've signed anyone...see if they're answering the mailbag...ANYTHING lol!

sports is #2 after music for me...i come from a sports family though...my uncle played in the NHL and AHL, and my grandfather played for one of the Brooklyn Dodgers' farm teams...he used to use most of his holidays in October every year, so he could watch the World Series (it was on in the afternoon mostly back then)...it's in my blood...

sure sports can seem to be a divisive force, but really, they bring people together...even if they're cheering for different teams and taunting each other...it still gathers them into the same stadiums, bars, message board threads ect...

It's not very fun being a Flames fan right now. Losing to the freakin' Capitals is pretty much rock bottom. This team is in a definite slump and the only guys consistently showing up every night are Iggy and Kipper. It's pathetic. Hopefully they can break out of this thing on their upcoming road trip. If they don't, I have a feeling it's gonna be a looooong season. The fans in this city are starting to get VERY impatient.
