F**k I hate the Avalanche. Oh well. It was fun watching Phaneuf knock Forsberg around like a bobble-head doll. And the good news is that Minnesota loses and the stupid Oilers don't gain any ground with their win. All in all, not a bad night despite my team losing.
I've never really understood why goalies fight one another. Boredom?

In this case, complete lack of self control.
Since Roy Jr had been embarrassed for seven goals to the other guy's one, methinks he was a tad frustrated.
I haven't seen a turtle like that since Darren McCarty pummeled Claude Lemieux.

Thanks ! That was so wild to watch again.
Darren McCarty was the man.
As a side note, I love Patrick Roy...so I did not enjoy him getting beat in net like that.
The one time I cheer for the Flames and this is what happens. Come on you guys!

More like he was ordered by his dad to go down the ice.
That was pathetic, Glad they both got lengthy suspensions. And I hope Roy Sr. never gets a coaching job in the NHL, he was a jack off when he played ( great Goalie) and he is a jack off coach.

Whether or not he was ordered to do it, he was obviously out of control. and he demonstrated that lack of control in certain choice post-game comments, and in his gestures to the crowd. Having the shit kicked out of him in the actual hockey game obviously didn't sit too well.
Those suspensions are appropriate, but Roy Sr should probably have received stiffer punishment given that this isn't his first lapse against this particular team.

I liked Roy's cockiness and fiery temperament as a player, but it doesn't translate well as a coach. I mean, it's good to have a bit of a temper and a lot of coaches in the NHL do, but you have to know when to draw the line and act mature behind the bench.
Roy jr. is the man, lol, i want to see him fight Emery.

I used to say that about Mike Keenan more than a few years back.

John Roy would get his ass handed to him. No doubt in my mind. :rambo:

I had not seen that before, Thanks for sharing it.
I wish the best for Darren McCarty.
The Wings still have him on their roster on their website even though he hasn't played.
