Isn't this article from 2002?
No?
Well, it should have been.
Amen to that.
In other "news", poor Chris Pronger is angry about all those mean rumours circulating about why he quit on the Oilers. Poor baby.

What a pussy, he deserves everything everyone said about him. I can't wait for the first time he comes back to Edmonton and gets booed everytime he touches the puck.
A buddy of mine sent me this link this morning and I laughed my ass off. Some people have way too much time on their hands. Enjoy!

Like Pronger said, now Mike Comrie is #2 on the list of most hated players in Edmonton. I think Comrie survived so I'm sure Pronger will also. Pronger is still the best defenseman in hockey or, at the very least, still top three.

That's classic!  The funniest to me was the vid of the weak Chelios goal. So true. It's gotta be one of the most embarassing things for a goalie to have to endure-letting Chelios score on him.
Malkin dislocated his shoulder. His whole breaking in to the NHL was more anti-climactic than everyone expected.

Yeah, because of that piece of garbage, waste of space, John Leclair. Malkin feeds him a perfect pass, which dumbass Leclair can't finish and then Leclair runs into Malkin behind the net. That big, dumb, goofy Leclair should have been released for that despicable display.

You can't balme that on Leclair, it was Malkin who fell on his own in front of the net and slid into Leclair who was skating behind the net.

Of course I blame it on Leclair. The guy is a hack who has no awareness of what's going on around him. He shouldn't even be in the league anymore. It was Leclair who clumsily fell down. Malkin didn't fall in front of the net. Leclair is the donkey who fell and crashed into the Pens second best player. I think you got the players mixed up. Watch it again. :thumb:

my mistake, I thought it was Malkin who fell
From John Buccigross column on espn.com
He ranks the eastern conference and assigns song lyrics to each team:
2. Buffalo Sabres
"Martyrs don't do much for me
Though I enjoy them vicariously
After you
No, after me
No, I insist, please after me"
--"Twist My Arm," by Tragically Hip
The Sabres should keep rolling this year with a young, fast team. Ryan Miller is the best goalie in the Northeast Division. The Sabres have the team, led by Miller, that should have a very good divisional record. Why they gave Tim Connolly a three-year contract and let Jay McKee go, I'll never know. But, this team is based on up-front speed and a really good goalie. The Sabres aren't as reliant on the big-time defenseman. I'm sure they see the Hurricanes raising the Cup last year and say to themselves, "That could very well be us next June."
Point projection: Chris Drury, 35-41-76 It's a contract year for the Hockey God.
Here's the link to the column, some of his song choices are spot on, and funny.

FINALLY, the Habs win their first of pre-season, and they do it in style. I hope Latendresse makes the team.
Sabres have 2 more chances to beat up on shitsburgh. I'll be there Saturday night. Let's make it 7 in row!
Ugh, what a horrible game by the Flames last night against San Jose. Too many bad turnovers by our defence, and Kipper was VERY rusty. To be fair though, he's only played 1 1/2 games so far, but he's gotta shake off those cobwebs before the season starts. Thank god it's only pre-season.
As for the offence, Iggy and Tanguay are looking good together, and they always seem to know where the other one is going to be in the offensive zone. I'd say that's a good sign. Oh, and Huselius was amazing last night. If he can keep that up all season, then our PP is in good shape.
GO FLAMES!!!
i picked up nhl2k7 last night & it's wicked!! my first update hockey game since 2003 !
