HUH?? MX Steve, I suppose nobody should respond, but I will.
Did you see Toronto get beat up last Saturday night? This is the first time I talk about it since it gave me an upset stomach. Toronto was out-played and out-matched, and Leaf fans are starting to make me sick with all of their Stanley Cup talk. Ah, nevermind, there's just no use. It'll never end, dear God it'll never end!
Beat up? Huh? They beat the habs in OT last saturday. I don't think they got beat up..They are not going to win the cup anytime soon but I don't think the Sens will either. Until the Sens prove they have the fortitiude to empty the tank, they will just provide pretty highlight.
If you are talking about the 8-0 thing a few weeks ago, well thats already been forgotten by me, the leafs and the sens. It really wasnt a big deal, 4-3, 8-0..its all a loss.

Well, it was a big deal to Sens fans because they think the Cup is handed out in November.
Anybody catch that Flyers-Thrashers game? That was nuts..first Atlanta is leading 3-1, then gives up four goals in a row. losing 5-3 in the third then wins 6-5 in OT! Crazy, Bobby Clarke must of punched a hole in the wall of his box suite after that one..
Great comeback by the Thrashers tonight. Tied it with 7 seconds left in the 3rd and won it in OT on a DeVries goal. Not a big fan of either team but it's good to see a Bobby Clarke team lose. Kovalchuk got two more goals. The Thrashers are playing with an AHL backup in net so they almost have to score 6 or 7 a game to win. Their goalie looked THAT BAD.

That non-call on the trip of Gagne (when he would have had an empty net goal to seal the deal with 20 seconds left) reminded me of Game 7 between the Flames/'nucks in 03/04 when Iggy would have had an empty netter but Morrison tripped him and there was no call. Then the 'nucks went back up the ice and scored. If the Flames hadn't have pulled it out in OT, I'm sure they'd still be talking about it.
That goalie was terrible, they tossed him to the lions tonight.
My Habs crapped out against Jersey tonight, that bites. :x

I'll admit I was a little worried during those first few games of the season, but over the last three weeks they've completely elevated their game. I said early on that once this team got their shit together they'd be extremely tough to play against, and it looks like I was right. All the ingredients have finally come together: great goaltending, balanced scoring, relentless forechecking, consistent PP, strong PK, speed, toughness, and a commitment to team defence.
The way these guys are playing right now, I don't even think the Sens could beat them. Yeah, that's right. I said it. GO FLAMES!!!
Gonna make it 9 tonight!! Might have a line on a ticket with some friends too. :thumb:
GO FLAMES GO!!!
Well, so much for that franchise record everybody was talking about. I guess the streak had to end sometime, but why did it have to be against the freakin' Hawks?? Oh well. The boys will bounce back against Colorado on Monday. GO FLAMES!!!

Helluva run. Nice to see them show they are for real.

Man my head hurts today. After the we failed to capatalize on a dozen or so powerplays in the first I used the heroin beer at the dome to liven things up.
Too bad about the loss, especially to the Hawks, but theyll come back firing.
Even the players can't agree:
Yzerman: "Everybody keeps saying this is great. It's not great," Yzerman told the Free Press. "It's not hockey."

He also happens to be the guy who is the least productive of the three so far this year. Gee, I wonder if that is a coincidence.
wow, Steen just scored a beauty, nice shootin kid! Wonder if there will be some retribution tonight with Atlanta, Ill be flipping between the Montreal and Toronto games looking for fights.
