YEAH!!!!!!!
The defence wasn't the best, but a win is a win, and our offence looks deadly this year. And were still missing Zednik. I like that Perezhogin kid, he looks like a keeper.
GO HABS GO!!!!!!!!

Boy, did Ferguson ever misread the landscape of the new NHL...two words to describe the 2005-06 Leafs - big and slow...not good in a league that rewards small and quick...
This Leaf team is in big trouble...and JFJ knows it...his expression as the game ended spoke volumes...
Next up? The Sens in Ottawa on Monday and the Flyers at the ACC Tuesday...
Leaf fans, be afraid...be very afraid...

Its still too early to write anyone off yet...but after what Ive seen so far, I have a feeling it might be a tough year for the Leafs. I have to say I just love my Habs team this year, I think we will do great.

Not sure if I agree with that. This game was lost by the pairing of Berg and Belak. Not so much big and slow - just big and stupid.
The Leafs have kept pace with two of the better skating teams in the league thus far, despite missing their best player for all but one period.

Thats true, I thought TO kept pace with us for the most part, I thought our speed was better and we kept puck possesion very well in the offensive zone. The T.O defence with the exception of McCabe didn't look very good in their own end. Going forward the Leafs look fine, but they need a better set of wingers, that Czerkawski is useless. I think Lindros is looking like his old self, I had a feeling being in Toronto would give him the motivation to play hard. But like I said it could go either way for the Leafs this year.
Damn, my Flames had their asses completely handed to them by Detroit today. Our PP is absolutely dismal (worst in the league at the moment), as is our penalty killing (also the worst in the league). 5 goals on 9 chances is simply unacceptable. Thank god it's only 3 games into the season. I have complete faith that this team will come together, but they'd better start doing it soon. They have so much depth on paper, but for some reason it's just not translating to the ice yet. I don't think I've ever been this frustrated this early in a season before. Hopefully they can turn things around against Colorado tomorrow.
:nooooo
i dont know if i am able to be a leaf fan this season, these games are killing me......
this back and forth stuff is gonna give me a heart attack
G*DDAMN F**KING SHOOTOUTS!!!!!!!!! :x :x :x :x :x :rambo: :rambo: :rambo: :rambo: :rambo:
Figures that the first two shootouts the Leafs would have would be against Hasek and the Sens... Hasek seems to own shootout situations somehow. If I were Ottawa, everytime Hasek was in net I'd play for the shootout... seriously, they could end up like 60-0 in shootouts this year.
As for my Leafs, they have to figure out how to hold on to a lead! All 3 games so far they've had a third period lead yet blown it each time... can't let that happen! Belak and Berg are absolute jokes and need to be run out of town ASAP. I'm starting to think they have incriminating photos of Quinn and Ferguson... there seems to be no other reasonable explanation for why they are still on the Leaf squad.
Well, have to pick it up boys, right back at it against Philly tomorrow... Philly is built similarly to the Leafs, so considering they have been competitive with teams built for the new NHL in the Sens and Habs, then hopefully they'll put it together and get a win against the Flyers.
GO LEAFS GO!

Each of those clowns was minus three tonight. :x
After wearing the goat horns versus Montreal, Aki "Finn-tastic" Berg didn't look like a pile of throw-up in tonight's loss, but Belak was up to his old "I'm a useless lump" routine.
Bring back Marchment ... did I ever think I'd say it?

big game for Montreal against Ottawa comin up, another undefeated team, in the same division, should be their toughest challenge yet...
Man, if I knew any real* Flames fans I'd feel bad for them. Did Kipper get confused when Turek retired? That's not the same guy who was leading the Flames to the Cup in 03/04. I know the Flames have a lot of new faces and need to gel, but yikes! It's not that they are losing close ones - they are getting blown out.
* ie not the bandwagon hoppers in my office
penalties...too many of them...
goals...not enough of them...
still early in the season, but they're sure doing a good job of making a lot of people's cup finals predictions look foolish (mine included)

You picked the Flames? Oh man. That guarantees they won't make the Cup. You've never been close on anything.
i'm close to E-pimp-slapping you right now if that counts for anything...
