you jackass, they're tied for second in the division...WITH MONTREAL...OTTAWA IS IN SOLE POSSESION OF FIRST BECAUSE THEY'VE ONLY PLAYED 6 GAMES SO FAR (and won them all) AND BOTH MONTREAL AND BUFFALO HAVE PLAYED 8!
Buffalo look better than they did last year, but it's only October, that is why i am not counting my chickens before they hatch with the habs...BUT, Montreal's playing not too shabbily so far, and i think it's only gonna get better as the season rolls on.
Perezhogin has been playing VERY well for your Habs, TDC. It seems the otherwise unnoticed rookies on our teams (I'm a Leafs fan) have been making very worthwhile contributions.
How about the Wings? Barry Melrose said they'd be one of the worst teams in hockey. Those rookies are really carrying them.

Is Toronto's Racine with the big club? I saw ths kid play goal in Montreal during the pre-season and he had the Habs fans cheering him at the end.
All I know about him is that he's from Quebec, he's really young, and he made some Roy looking stops in Montreal.
Eddie who?

Racine is fourth on the depth chart and he isn't exactly threatening to move up anytime soon. Something about a 6.67 GAA in the minors doesn't exactly make me think of Patrick Roy reincarnated.

But that's OK Stephen, you cheer for the Sens. Ottawa fans wouldn't know good goaltending from Dan Cloutier.

no, somebody even better...
JOSE SHUT-THE-DOOR!
Theodore is definitely better. What, with all those Cups and.....errrr...nevermind.
Booo...Lindros just scored the shootout winner over Boston.
GO SABRES!

About time the Leafs won one of those damn things! Though if I had my way, the Leafs would take care of business before it even gets to the shootout.
But that sure was a sweet winner by the Big E, wasn't it?

yes....yes it was!! :thumb:
GO HABS!! Take that Philly! I've been so sick of losing to those bastards over the years, it was nice to beat them. Forsberg did nothing and Hatcher was garbage in that game. If Esche knew how to control rebounds they might have won.
I think cferneyh was spot on before the season started, on two points:
You said that Edmonton would have scoring troubles, and wow you couldn't have been more right, MacTavish called out Peca today on TV and Pronger admitted he hasn't been good too, nobody else has really picked up the slack, in Smyth's defence he has been hurt, but still no-one has really stepped up, what forsight!
And you also touched on how the big slower D-men like Hatcher would struggle in the "new" NHL that was pretty evident tonight, the Habs speed was too much for Philly's D and it showed alot in the 3rd period and the OT, again spot on!
Got any stock tips or lottery numbers per chance?
i've said it before, and i know i'll say it again...
GO NUCKS

Try those Lost numbers.
I told you Chicago would stink too!
I'm wrong as often as I'm right, but with the Oil I just didn't understand the hoopla about getting Peca, who makes $4 million, and Pronger, who makes $6.25 million, when it was clear they needed some offense. The league has made a bunch of rule changes to increase offense, so Kevin Lowe ties up
26% of his salary cap space in two guys who are there to
stop goals?!? Huh?!?
And Peca. Ugh. Peca has been coasting on reputation for years. He should be giving Hasek 50% of his paycheque. Peca is a depth player - a third line centre that you use to shut down the other team's best line. He's not a guy you count on to contribute offensively, so I don't understand what MacTavish is looking for. He is what he is, and Lowe screwed the pooch by committing that much money to him.
I'll say this - I certainly didn't think Vancouver and Detroit would be as good as they have been. The Canucks are looking AWESOME, and that's with virtually no contribution from Headcase Bertuzzi. If he finds his long lost scoring touch, they are gonna be something else.
Oh, and one more thing - the Toronto Hockey Media Experts - Al Strachan, Damien Cox, and Steve Simmons can kiss my ass with their "Leafs are gonna suck" predictions. I'll tell you who sucks - Toronto Hockey Media Experts.
