I just listened to the Markthalle SOTD's.

I don’t own a single live recording from 1997. I only saw one show that year when they opened for Los Lobos in LA Oct ‘97. They played less than 45 minutes, it was freezing cold, and they played 2 – 3 new songs from PP which wasn’t released yet. It had been 11 months since I had seen them live but I still left disappointed.

For the past 10 years I’ve ignored everything from 1997. I’ve seen 30+ shows since then, but I’ve always considered 1997 a throw away year. Then MAv comes along and posts 5 of the most ridiculous tracks from the 1997 European Tour and makes me look like a dope!!!
Once again we’re reminded just how sick and vast the Hip’s vault of live recordings must be. :jump
