Martin Scorsese did this for us... Ya fuck!

this is awesome, three songs.

Thank you very very much, Mav.
it says to "get it today, I tunes music store" on the media launcher. I was hoping to download the song of the day from I tunes but had no luck. Possibilty of these songs of the day every seeing the ITunes light of day?
very good...."This is the song that swept the MTV music awards"...love that
Mav, is there any way that you could please leave these up Monday as well? I don't have access to any computer with a high-speed connection until tomorrow morning and I'd hate to miss out on these.

EDIT (the next day): THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU Mav! Just got to listen, and these three kick all sorts of ass. I could try to express how grateful I am through typing, but I'd probably give myself carpal-tunnel syndrome.
Thanks MAv for another Triple Treat :thumb:

Daredevil
Toronto #4
Sherpa
wow, Toronto # 4, what a great song. It's really a shame Music @ Work basically gets completely ignored when it comes to current setlists except for MM@W.
Man, this version of Daredevil with Hiccups is great (complete with the "Man, this is really cool" comment right in the middle). I'm sure I've heard it somewhere before, but I don't think it's in my collection.

live 10

That would make sense.

Thanks.
This version of Daredevil begs the question:

Why isn't DD played live much?

Hiccups / DD rules.
What's Gord D say at the end a Toronto #4? Something that ends with "Well, i wonder what coulda happened. Hmm." But I can't make out the before part.

I've listened to this a good 10 times over the last few days. Brings back some awesome memories. I went to this show in my grade 12 year. I recall waiting in line at ticketmaster with a few friends. The first show sold out right after the guy in front of us bought his tickets. Then they released tickets for the 2nd show at the Coliseum. We snatched up Row 6 or 7 on the floor, middle/left of the stage as a group of 4. I'm sure if we had done two sets of two we'd have been closer. Truly wonderful night. I can't really recall the Hiccups part, but I don't think I would have recognized it then. Thugs blew me away.

This is still my favorite show out of the 43 I’ve seen. Thanks to my buddy we were able to stand on the floor just to the left of the stage, along with some of the band’s family and friends. This might be the last show where they played 5 songs off of Road Apples, nearly half the album (Twist, Luxury, Cordelia, Little Bones, and 3 Pistols).

You are dead on regarding this performance of Thugs. One of the guys in the crew mentioned Johnny had just got a new piece of equipment for the tour, which I believe was one of those electronic drum pads that is set up on the left hand side of his kit (I think that is what he’s playing at the start of Daredevil on this SOTD). Anyhow, I seem to remember the beginning of Thugs was extended more than usual and Johnny was playing around with his new toy, it was a pretty funky version.

Maybe MAv could post Thugs from this show to see how good (or bad) my memory is these days?
that vancouver show is definately up there with the best hip shows i've seen..honestly i think the vernon show for IVL was the best

Interesting, I just checked the setlist and the song selection wasn’t anything crazy so I assume the performance itself was memorable? Since my favorite song Twist my Arm was raked over the coals in Match-Up # 20 I guess I’ll just let this fly and suffer the consequences…the IVL era was my least favorite in The Hip’s career.

I saw seven concerts on the IVL Tour. There were a few memorable moments that I won’t forget: 1) SHDB with Steve Berlin on Sax in Chicago, 2) Membership in Anaheim, and 3) my buddy asking Gord Sinclair for Inevitability of Death in LA, which they played the second night. But outside of those three moments there isn’t much from that tour that kicked my ass. Maybe it was a letdown after the “Evening With” shows in 2000 when we got 30+ songs and the song selection was ridiculously good?

After RA, FC, DFN, TITH, and PP I was confused by M@W and was hoping for a return to their roots on IVL. Even though I liked more than half the songs on IVL I think I disliked Are You Ready, Use it Up, and Throwing Off Glass more than I liked the rest of the tracks. I also held a grudge that they never played Leave live more than once or twice. I must admit, both M@W and IVL have grown significantly on me over the years, but they are still my two least favorite offerings from the band.

Thankfully IBE came along and restored my faith in the band, and I’m a big fan of WC as well. When I think of the IVL era the only word that comes to mind is “blah”. But I will say this, this past weekend I watched a clip of Inevitability of Death posted by Chris on Youtube from the IVL Tour and it did kick my ass.

Let the bashing begin...
