Awesome version of A Beautiful Thing today MAv. I always enjoy hearing sotd from shows I was at. This is a very underrated song frm IVL in my opinion.

It's an underplayed song is what it is...I think I heard it played once at Molson Ampitheater, on the IVL tour...

What a pity that Silver Jet got so much play while Dire Wolf, Beautiful Thing, Throwing Glass, and especially the Dark Canuck took a back seat.

Although it was awesome to hear Are You Ready at guelph this year...

I am a sucker for this song! What a totally cool SOTD! Tasty guitar solo! I think in another album or two, people will want to hear this tune and go gaga when they finally haul it out on occation. Agree with ya Trips, please give Silver Jet a semi retirement and toss in those mentioned ILV tunes!

Trips and spottrax, lets not say something you may regret later like for example "give Silver Jet a semi retirement" Im all for the increased rotation of those previously mention IVL songs and more but Silver Jet is one of my favourite live songs to hear. and one song from IVL not mentioned by Cpt. Trips is Leave. I would love to hear that played live, and you know I personally would love to hear any and all tracks from IVL played a little more frequently live. Anyways nice chioce MAv (Beautiful Thing) great live song!

You beat me to the punch! How could Leave have only been played once in an actual concert (not including the radio/promo shows) is beyond me? I like Good Life and Silver Jet, but I love The Darkest One and Leave, yet they remain in hibernation...

I little lighter rotation is a better way to handle Silver Jet...I agree I've always enjoyed Good Life live but yea, I'm in total agreement with you guys about the rest of ILV getting some concert time! We all love the deep cuts from the Hip... One of the "Beautiful Things" about them is that there are no real "throw-aways" on their cds (IMO).
