Whether I click the treble clef or the side bar callout, I get the same result: the player window opens, the song details show up, but it never starts playing. I can cycle through the songs, change from complete songs to samples, but nothing plays, and the status bar never shows up.

I am running the latest universal Flash plugin, just reinstalled before typing this post.

Everything works fine in both browsers.

Ok, that gives me something to check. It seems like the xml isn't loading for somereason. I'm guessing you have tried to clear your cache?
Yessir...
Okay, so my SOTD is now working, but I still don't know what the "compilation" being referred to is. Am I missing something. Great version of Sharks with Canada Geese, though.

Listening to Sharks and then the Bastard made me go back to M@W

M@W is such a good 'in between' album (ironically better for that than IBE)

By this I mean, in between the 10 times a day I listen to FC and the 10 times a day I listen to DFN, M@W is a great way to clean the palatte.

The compilation was about ten previous SOTD in the rotation rather than the album versions that always follow the SOTD.
It was MAv's "sorry" for being late.

Hey MAv, just wondering...
...do Hipbasers get a birthday present when their special day comes around? IE: Are they allowed to pick?
Awesome version of an (Always) awesome tune...after hearing this, how can folks not totally dig this tune? Anyway, that bit before the song kicks in, I recognize it from Detroit '04, Gord has a little go at it between Scared and Makeshift...here's what I can make out....

....crumbling guardrail...Tokyo...never could sleep...the mind keeps on bouncing around...dice bouncing around, did ya have t'show me that accident scene, didn't I get enough shaking?

Anyway, sounds cool enough....

Those lyrics would be from Bruce Cockburn's Tokyo -- he's brought these out plenty of times, probably most famously between Courage and Full at Music Without Borders.

Cheers,

Pat

It's not for a while, but I'll put on my thinking cap and try and find a great version of something! Big Grin
Just a small suggestion, it might be kinda cool to see the SOTD also function as a "this date in Hip history" feature where a song that was played on "this" date X years ago is featured. I usually listen to Buffalo 11.26.1996 every year on 11.26, but I'm a big dork that way.

Opiated and I share June 16th (friday) as a birthday, and although I'm heading to Pittsburgh that day and would probably not be able to make it to the site to listen to the SOTD, in honor of O's big day perhaps MAv could play Opiated? :thumb:
Very forceful version of Fir In The Hole! I love it! Especially that little slide when the guitar first kicks in (not at the very heavy part, before that).

I think this is a cool idea. I have a long term plan for v. 2.0 and 3.0 . . . we're getting there. . . .
