Vermont loves the Hip. Memorial Aud is no bigger than most high school basketball facilities. When the Hip come to town it is filled to capacity. The last show there was awesome (The night the Red Sox beat the Yankees in game 7 of the 2004 ALCS) but the boot has yet to surface.
Click this link to download a small 60kb Microsoft Word document chronologically listing all 112 songs MAv has presented as the Song Of The Day since its debut back in February.

Take a peek to see which cuts, if any, MAv has released from your most memorable Hip concert. The list is complete up to July 21, 2006.
Damn -
Thank You TLB.
No worries Dana. Just a note: a friend told me I missed 4 tunes off the list, so add them to the table by 1) with cursor to the left of the date (outside the grid), right click & choose "Insert Row", and 2) cutting & pasting the info below exactly how it's typed there to keep the same format as the whole file.

Its nice to hear some songs from that show at the hummingbird centre!

I almost missed the show because our car got a flat tire on the 401! Missed sam roberts but got to the centre in time to buy 2 beers and head to our seats as the hip started...then discovered that you couldnt drink in the seating section! lol....but you sure could smoke weed lol what a weird concert, but it was a great show anyway!

Hummingbird Centre was a great location to see the Hip. My wife and I attended the first night, and hung out in the lobby during Sam Roberts, having a couple beers instead. The multi-camera dvds that Chris released for both shows are spectacular, and again, it's great to see material from these shows presented as the Song of the Day!
damn, awesome version of the darkest one. For what ranks as one of their best albums (second only to Day For Night IMO), why is In Violet Light so underepresented live - Especially this song and the Dark Canuck, which really don't get enough play
Yawning or Snarling sounds great today. I love hearing Day For Night songs live.

Sounds a little slow to me, but great song regardless :thumb:

I'd say it's more than a little slow... Gord sounds hilarious when he's talking at the beginning of the track.
i noticed no one said n e thing about yesterday's greasy jungle wich was a really sweet version. and todays yawning is decent as well Big Grin
Nice little snippet of Try (or is it Fly) there at the end today.
Thanx MAv
Love Escape MAv...thanks :thumb:
sweet one MAv
great choice. two great nights of the hip in burlington on the tour. the shows in burlington are always great. as mentioned the venue is small but the sound is usually great. the 2004 show (game 7 yanks/sox) was also great when gord came out for the encore and gave a score with the sox ahead. in 2002 i think they only repeated like 3 or 4 songs between the two nights. heard like 40 different songs out of 44 played or something like that. have never seen a copy of either the 2002 or 2004 shows from burlington.
