wow nice thanks so much MAv
its hot as hell today and i've had goosebumps for the last 3 minutes, when Paul kicks into the opening riff the chills shoot through my spine and dont go away for the entire song. What a great moment, thanks MAv for letting me relive it.
OMG!!! This is awesome! Thanks sooo much MAV! for a while there i thought everyone ignored my previous post about it not being allowed and then to my surprise i see the Hip sotd and almost had a heart attack. Im glad to see my prayer was answered. Thanks again MAV you rock!
Its great to come back before I leave for two weeks (next day off is my birthday, BTW! 28th!) and see this as TSODT. Absolutely phenomenal. MAv, I can't over the sheer exhiliration that you bring to us fans.
That opening is pretty chilling! Keeps the moment fresh in my mind.

I figured the whole base would go bananas if this was ever released as a SOTD........

...maybe for this weekend Lance could just rename the forums Coconut Cream??
My two favourite times at the Fort York shows (Flamenco on Friday, 38 on Saturday) have now both been SOTD!

Nick
The guys did that song justice and then some. No struggle at all. Sounds like they've played it live as many times as New O! As stated above, nice slide work from Baker... :thumb:
HOLY SONG OF THE DAY!!!!
38 Years Old from Toronto!
Wow!! Amazing...thanks MAv!!
Rockin' version of Lionized today MAv. Thanks :thumb:

ps. could the date be 1992-11-11? Looking at the setlist archive here at the Hipbase, it is the only Fredericton show listed.

I don't have a setlist for this show. Nope, the date written is what it came to me as.

MAv.
Gord sounds quite odd (for him) in the intro...like he's got a cold. Nice version of a so-so tune, though :thumb:

He sounds that way in a lot of the 1990-1995 shows.
I heard that "raspy" voice today and thought - "cool, a really old version of a song"

When I listen to the SOTD - I do not look first to see what song it is.
I go down the right column to see if yetserdays song is listed yet - and if it is - then I hit play on the music player and get suprised by what song is played - kinda makes me feel like I am at a concert where I do not know what is coming next.

Fair enough :thumb: Just seems a bit odd that the band didn't play any other shows between Nov '95 and April '96....at least according to the archive....but who is to argue when it comes from the source eh?

Cheers

If not possible, how about another SOTD newbie...

Lionized

I bet the version that kicked off the encore at the first Fort York show didn't suck.

MAv -

Not sure if this request had anything to do with the SOTD today, but either way, I'll take it, great version.

Interesting quote from Gord in the intro, "The structure's good and the night is beautiful"...it took me a minute before I could remember what tune that was taken from but I just realized its from Radio Show.

Thanks again...
