MAv,

Inspired by this version of New Orelans Is Sinking, I decided to watch the audience recording of the 1995-10-27 MSG show I have, and was surprised to find that New Orleans was not included on my video. I checked the Setlist archive here at the Hipbase, and NOIS isn't listed there as having been played that night.

I'm wondering if this version is possibly from the 1995-10-26 MSG show, played the previous night?

It's also possible that the bootleg is incorrectly labelled, and the setlist archive was updated from an incorrect source....

Just tryin' to keep my boots up to date.

Cheers & keep up the great work! :thumb:

Got around to listening to the latest song of the day and i have to say that was the best version of NOIS i've heard yet. New Orleans is Sinking to Put it Off with a touch of Flamenco. Groovy.
Very cool..best song of the day yet..best NOIS ever too...
i love when Gord yells "Broadway the hardway Cocksuckers...."
No Poets today? (It would have fit the calendar)

There are some Poets lyrics in today's version of 100th...
Just finished listening to it, and that's one of the best versions I've heard in a long time. Roughly 15 minutes long, slices of Poets & Blonde Solid intertwined. Absolutely amazing.

I have to enter the setlist for this show. Meant to do it on Friday, but never got to it. Hoping it will be entered today.

Wow Mav, solid song of the day selection. Bits of Blonde Solid, Poets, and I think even a line from Stay. It started off mediocre, but man that was awesome.

Thanks once again!
Don't forget the Purple Paint! There are other bits and pieces in this this version that popped up frequently throughout this tour. I'll have to re-listen to get them all though.

The line from Stay was a pretty cool discovery though. I hadn't heard them on any 96 recording before.

Cheers,

Pat

Is the show 1996 or 1999? I haven't checked the setlist archive, but both years are listed in the details on thehip.com.

I was going ot say that it had to be 1996, because Phantom Power came out in 1998, so it wouldnt make much sense if Gord was ranting with Poets after it had already been recorded.

MAv beat me to it.
