Im sure nobody wants any band to copy the AC/DC formula of album making. Is the production too much, maybe for some ears and not for others, I really like this album for what it is. Not to say I love what Rock has done but whats done is done, this is the album and thats the way it is, take it for what it is.
If they decide to go "back to basics" on an album in 2 years time and it blows everyone away with raw rocking power, this album wont seem so bad will it, it will be just another album in the stream of time, lets enjoy it and then move on to the next one, whatever may come.
I think Mick put it nicely..

OH MY GOD, A BAND THAT HAS BEEN AROUND FOR DECADES WANTS TO EXPERIMENT WITH NEW SONGWRITING AND PRODUCTION TECHNIQUES... LOCK YOUR DOORS. Rock fans are retards.
I have a great idea when anyone is looking for some of that raw or referred to here as not as polished or over produced stuff just put in one of their older albums  The great thing is we as Hip fans have the option god knows we love their sound but don't want the exact same thing over and over. I for one love it and I think there is something for everyone on this one:thumb:
This album sucks, im very disappointed.
Long Live IBE.

I'm a retard because I don't like this Hip CD as much as others. That sucks. Do I get any special retard benefits from the government or anything? If so, can you help me with the paperwork? Being a retard and all, I can't fill out forms correctly.
meh...that's what I think about this album thus far. I'm not too excited about it, and I'm not even sure if I will make much of an effort to rush out and buy it. I have purchased every album from Fully Completely to World Container the day they were released, I don't think I will for this one.
With Gords screaming in concert, the outrageous ticket prices, and now this lack luster album, I'm quite sad to say the Hip are losing much of the lure they've maintained over me for 20 years now. I sure hope when I do see them in September that this sort of funk will have passed and it will be back to normal adulation for me. We'll see.

I don't know if it was you bitching about this, but I read posts about people complaining that it sucks and is overproduced and that they need to do a REAL and RAW album and lamenting the fact that they're not in 1994 again... if you were one of those people then yes, you are a retard.
"Never go full retard"

I certainly didnt say the album sucked. Its just not what "drew" me into the hip. 8)
In Honey, Please what does Gord say here....
"Honey maybe everything we need is on the other side of this ____________"?
I had another burning lyric question earlier but I forget. Guess I'll have to listen through the album again and find it. What a shame. Not.

I feel the same way, just never said it.
"If you're in, don't say anything. Are you in?"
Just listened to the entire album again. Goddamn I love this band. What a stunning piece of work. Epic!
