SWEET. Can't wait.
Morning Moon is a "nice" song. It is very good. Mellow but moves along great. But as an album opener. Not sure. I'll have to wait for the rest of the album to see how it fits in. I always thought Are You Ready (IVL) was a horrible album opener (and really a bad song in general) but sound wise MM it's very well produced. Looking forward to the release.
I've got the flu, sick as hell... but at least I got to wake up this morning to this news! Love the new song, album cover looks sick!!! LOVE IT. And they are coming to London too, which I'm pumped about... wicked!

Exactly what immediately came to my mind! Me likey!!!!
:music I love the new song, instantly. Doesn't need to grow on me. Very unexpected...not that I like it, but the sound of it. Can't wait for tour!!
I LOVE IT! What an Awesome Song!
I love the intro with the acoustic guitar and then the Slide/Steel Guitar comes through.... AWESOME!
Great Song Boys! It was well worth the wait!
I love the Album cover and I can't wait to hear more tracks from this album..
I wonder if they are going to do the Phoenix Run again as they did with World Container??? Now wouldn't that be something?
The wait is finally over! Hopefully it will be a good follow-up album to WC. Still love that album.

Well it pretty much has all been said but for me I LOVE IT and yes worth the wait. What a great day :jump
Speed River! I distinctly remember Gord ranting about "Speed River" at the end of the Ovation Festival in Stratford (September 2006). That was before World Container was released. It was during the outro to Nautical Disaster, which was their closer that night. That performance of Nautical is one of my favourite moments of any Hip concert I've seen. I'm pumped about the new album, and you've all already said it, but I love the artwork.
Great Waiting List Wrote:My shot at the lyrics of Morning Moon
The reactors down
I guess for labour day, today
Its the first day I ain't seen a great plume ofsteam from across the lake
From across the lake
Hey that’s a morning moon, yeah
Im not making strange
I said someone's paying
When somethings too cheap
Somebodys paying something
He said someones paying something
And there a morning moon, yeah
Say those little things that don’t make anyone feel better, yeah
It didn’t take too much to upset her
Nothing that could clear a room
Just say one little thing that could make me feel better
Under this morning moon, yeah
The sun's our light bulb
And the moon is a mirror
There are times when you can see both the bulb and the mirror
See the bulb and the mirror
And that’s a Morning moon, yeah
Say those little things that don’t make anyone feel better, yeah
It doesn’t take too much to upset her
Nothing that could clear a room
Just saying one little thing
Trying to make you feel better
Under this morning moon, yeah
Under this morning moon, yeah
(Trying to make you feel better
Nothing too far from the truth) Repeat
My shot at it. Somebody nail them. I like it a lot though. I found myself convincing myself that I loved "In View," and eventually I did. No such work needed here. This is an AWESOME song.
Really really nice song, I love the opening Guitaring :music . This is why I love these guys, Always have a new way to express themselves :thumb:
not really a fan of MM so far...
Things have grown on me many times in the past but this seems like it isn't my cup of tea. I'm sure that the rest of the album will be killer though. Can't wait to hear some of the more rocking tunes or emotional anthems.
It's amazing. Gord's voice is amazing. I could cry.
Only a couple months away, WOOO!
If the rest of the album keeps up in the vein of Morning Moon, this might just be the Hip's answer to Automatic For the People.
I hear a confidence and comfort of the Eagles????
Catchy, and original. The tune pick ups, and continues to through-out. Great transition of repetition for an ending.
Excellent. Can't wait to to here this throughout the summer. Going to be a good anthem.
Off topic, but this is where I realize i'm sitting in the foriegn films lab on campus, wearing a World Container shirt and with Hipbase, the Tragically Hip's website, and the media player all open in front of me. I must look insane.
