yeah, a leak indeed. and that little leak is spreading into the bay, lets just hope the pirates arent affected by the rising water level!
im not quite sure i understand your question. none of the hips albums come close to a 0, and i would say the lowest album in my books is music@work, which comes in at a decent 6 out of 10.
im going to have to say that "the last recluse" and "depression suite" are the top songs on the album for me and in fact are a couple of the most gorgeous hip songs ever. ds is also one of the longest hip songs ever coming in at 9:27
I got it too...listening commences soon.
I suspect a leak would mean that it will be streaming from thehip.com pretty soon, as bands tend to do that especially when a leak comes out in hopes to mitigate damage...
yeah, thats a fair assessment.
if you guys do break your willpower down enough to download a copy of the album, be sure to buy it when it comes out. i mean, i know you guys all all hipheads so im not too worried about that but still, seriously. you will want to pay for this music.
on my 22nd listen though and im loving this more than wc. god i can just picture driving around aimlessly through the back country roads in moonlight, windows down and this cd blasting.
i love you tragically hip
A mellow Hip album? Jesus this is going to be the longest 15 days of my life, can't wait to hear it.
I was hoping they'd put it up Tuesday, as that's exactly two weeks before the album hits stores (and I believe that's the length before release World Container was streamed.) Man, it is really really tempting to hit that leak (for the record, also someone with a pre-order already). Sleep, or illicit Hip?
illicit hip which will lull you to sleep
I'm honestly have a moral anxiety attack. I pre-ordered and have tickets to the theatre show, where I will get the album again, and bought two tickets to the montreal shows...and yet here I am.....
AAAHHH
The background vocals in "Country Day" almost ruin the song. :nooooo Other than that, it's a pretty cool song.
So I went somewhere and did something, and now i'm probably not sleeping tonight.
pro-edit: The Struggle and Depression Suite are the one-two punch that knocks this album into the fucking stratosphere. WOW.
If people didn't like the over-production on WC, I wonder what they'll think about WATS.  Geez, did the orchestra get payed overtime for their work on this one? :what
This album is pure Bob Rock. I hate to admit it, but I think I might actually come to like this album, even with it's ridiculously over the top production. MIGHT. :rambo:
Its downloaded on my desktop.
I'm staring at it and I don't know what to do.
It's staring back at me.
I don't think I'm going to listen.
FUCK but i really want to.
But I won't. I hope its streamed soon.
Robbie's guitar sounded GREAT in the Bathouse videos. However, in The Depression Suite, Bob Rock has managed to hide Mr. Baker's guitar for some reason. :? I'd like to hear his guitar a bit more on that song, I'm not gonna lie.

cratch:

Go for it, man! :jump :jump
BTW, Queen of the Furrows is phenomenal. :jump :jump :jump
The second half of this album is better than the first, and the first half is already good. I already like this better than I liked IBE or WC on first listen. Honestly, the only song that's sort of fallen flat for me was "The Exact Feeling", and I think that'll grow on me (compared to not liking three of the WC songs at first) - Queen, Speed, Struggle, Depression, and Country Day all need setlist time on this tour, though I wonder how a few of them (especially Depression Suite) will fare without all the extra instruments and production.
