Who cares? It's the first song that the diehard fans are hearing therefore it is the first single. And besides, is there such as thing as a single any more?
Radio stations are playing it, it's streaming on a bunch of sites, it's the first single regardless of what official paperwork might say.
Finally heard the song. It is a great little tune. Pretty much Country but I am enjoying it.
Just a thought, but wouldn't Morning Moon sound amazing on vinyl! A guy can always wish.
