Still, its the Hip, on Canada Day - that's priceless! :thumb:

i think the last massey hall shows were close to $100
add at least 2 other bands(that i want to see) and VIP and then the $275 for the pair becomes easily justifiable

...like u said the hip on a friday canada day with subway access IS PRICELESS
$125 lol what a ripoff

this is a good point - i think remeber past events at downsview doing this

Then again, someone just pointed out to me that there may be changes to liquour licenses this summer that would make it easier for an event to have more open licensed areas:

Tough to know if this will be in effect on July 1st at Downsview or not.

I would think the government would want this changed in time for Canada day, there's more events than this going on in Ontario on this day.
Did anyone buy the parking option with the VIP tix? I couldnt find it anywhere.
Can we move the Downsview show discussion to it's own thread?

If I knew those two shows were confirmed, I'd probabl skip the Canada Day show. Anyone have more insight on these dates, other than the email that said more shows would be coming?

Tickets for The Tragically Hip's June 24 show in Watertown will go on sale at 7 a.m. March 18.

Tickets will be $76 for reserved standing and $66 for general admission. All tickets are on a first-come, first-serve basis. The opening act will be The Trews. The reserved will get you as close as you want to the stage because it is all standing room only.

To purchase tickets, call the Disabled Persons Action Organization at 782-0044 or (800) 533-2859 or visit the organization's website. Tickets may also be purchased at the DPAO corporate offices at 617 Davidson St., Watertown.

To read more information, they have concert stuff posted on the DPAO website.

This has been a going rate for major concerts for years now to say nothing of VIP. VIP pit tickets usually go for at least twice that price. I think the price makes good sense.

Looks like the red concert logo is the poster and t-shirt design?

I had issues gettng the vip tix. Took me 4 tries, I didnt want to screw up again so I passed up the poster/shirt offer. When I went back to get them I couldn't wihout buying another anothe ticket Sad..

Thankfully they screwed up and now I have free VIP parking! Smile
With the Watertown show supposedly going on sale on the 18th (this week), maybe that means there will be tour dates announced this week?

I'm hoping by the end of the month so I can figure out whether I want to see the Downsview show or not.

The band posted an event page for our Watertown show this afternoon. Looks like they will have a pre-sale for fans before Friday tickets go on sale!

Does this mean that we're going to see ticket prices rise by about 10-20 all across the board this tour?
