I think $100 per ticket is fair. That's pretty standard for most concerts over the last two years that have come through Winnipeg if you want to sit on the floor. When the hip did 4 shows in one week at the concert hall I was willing to pay $400 to see all of them. $100 at a cool venue like Shaw park is a bargain. I do know people who won't miss folk fest for it though. I think most people want to know the weather before they buy
Every couple days I've been checking to see what tickets come up and this morning I saw Floor 3 row 6 coming up. The most interesting thing in all of this is where these floor 1-5 sections really are. Floor 3 is either the middle section on the floor (with floor 1 starting on the far left and floor 5 being on the far right), or it's the right side section of the "big 3" on the floor. Either way those are great seats that are left this many days after tickets went on sale

I agree. My personal feelings are any time one of your favorite bands comes near you go see them because it could be the last time they tour for whatever reason. I'll be there, got tickets just behind home plate, I'll take the panoramic view this go round. I paid almost $300 per ticket for the Wall in Minneapolis, mind you, that was the best show I have ever seen, so $60 for Das Hip is great value (seats I chose were $60).

I just got off the phone with someone from True North Entertainment in Winnipeg. They said that Floor 3 is the middle section. So I'm assuming that if Floor 3 is the middle section of the front 5 sections on the field, then they will go from Floor 1 - Floor 5 from the left to the right, or vice versa.
Absolutely pumped for this show!

Oh well, at least it will be a good show!
Absolutely pumped for this show!

Looks like they may be playing Charlottetown's Summerfest on June 30th, at least according to KRock. Summerfest also just posted on facebook...
"Announcement coming tomorrow evening! **HINT HINT** Someone that has rocked the waterrfront in the past and someone that will no doubt rock it for the first time!"
The Hip also played the festival June 30th, 2006 & June 30th, 2008.

It's 2 nights this year, 1 night the headliner has rocked the waterfront before, the other night is a new act. KRock has been talking about it on the the air this evening, they've heard The Hip on June 30th. And shortly after KRock posted that on facebook, Summerfest put that quote up on facebook. I've also heard rumors of Meatloaf on July 2nd, but not sure if it's true or not.
