This is unbeliveably cool!! I will be there for sure. The venue is an interesting choice. I have never seen a show there and numerous well known acts have played there. I wonder if The Hip will lose some of its Detroit area fans who won't cross the international border because they don't want the hassle or can't for legal reasons. The show should sell out. There are alot of Windsor Hip fans. The Windsor fans have come to the Detroit Fillmore in droves for past shows.

This is from the Caesars Windsor website:

The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor is a 5,000 seat venue, making it the largest of its kind within all of the Caesars properties. With many of our comfortable seats being larger than the industry standard and no further than 225 feet from the stage, you’ll be up close and personal to all the on-stage excitement. With state-of-the-art sound and lighting, the Colosseum will feature some of the biggest and best-known names in entertainment.

Here is a seating chart:

Awesome..... I have my passport and will be there!!!
I can say that this was sort of predictable. Even though there is a pretty solid Hip following in South Eastern Michigan, the majority of fans come from the Windsor area (like Hugh said). I am lucky that I actually have a company paid passport that has not been used. I can't think of a better way to break it in than to head to Ontario for a Hip show!!! I can't imagine how cool it will be to hang with a hotel/casino full of Hip fans!!!

With that optimism, I really hope there are no restrictions on how long the band can play. I have heard some real horror stories on other band forums about casino shows (only a hour and a half concert, many seats empty because they are comp seats for casino big shooters, most of the crowd seated....etc.). I really hope this will not be the case. Maybe someone can shed some light on how Caesars Windsor operates.

Regardless......Gonna get my tix saturday!
got our Watertown tix yesterday!!!!!!!
can't wait!!!

You'd think, especially after that Halifax cancellation, that they'd throw us a bone.
My fingers are crossed for FredRock.
I'm just hoping for someting in the West, Edmonton Or Cowtown would be nice, hell even Vancuever, gotta hope for a
festival type event I think.

Yeah. I'm glad the Windsor pre-sale sold out before I even heard about it (you'd expect emails for show dates), because I might have been compelled to buy tickets at that utterly exorbitant price.
I shelled out the $$$. Got great seats. Not too many bands I would do that for... but the Hip are worth the $ in my book. Can't wait till July! (man, that is a long way away). My fingers are crossed that we get a little more than just the "hits" for that kind of dough. Also, (i know i am all over the place here) it would be cool if they continue the broken-down acoustic set in the middle of the show... That is simply awesome.
