Tthip Wrote:The Tragically HipDisappointing. The crowds on the waterfront are ridiculously lame. It's a bunch of liquored up, shirtless buffoons. Ya know how Hip fans get labeled as being rowdy, drunk, unintelligent frat boys? Well, that's pretty much the crowd that comes to these waterfront shows. Hip are playing in my backyard and I'm not even sure I'm going. Never thought I'd say that. :what

For those of you who are going to the Bobcaygeon show and are still looking for a place to crash, a construction company called O'neill Contracting are renting their land for camping use on the night of the show. It is located less than a km from the venue and they will be having shuttles taking people to the show and back. The cost is $50 a site and since you get to park there, it's not bad of a price at all. The phone number to call and reserve a site is (705) 738-3687. Apparently alot of sites have already been booked and this is all you can get in the region now :thumb:

Finally bought my tickets for the Edmonton show. Earlier in this thread I was bitching about the ticket prices. And of course, my friend and I ended up splurging for the $105 VIP tickets. Yup, I'm just a walking contradiction. Anyhoo....does anyone know where this VIP section is exactly in relation to the stage at these outdoor shows? Is it back near the soundboard? Is it a roped off area in front of the stage?? Since I forked over the extra dough for this thing, I'm dying to know.

I guess that's the style, but it would've been nice to be a bit brighter.leafs852 Wrote:Anyone else going to get the $30 t shirt and poster bundle with the tickets.Looks like the red concert logo is the poster and t-shirt design?
The poster will look nice when it's framed.

i also went with the vip...i think it will be so much nicer than dealing with a festival crowd with 1/2 hour lineups for everything
