From the Gazette:
"--Post-punk icon Elvis Costello and his band The Imposters will also perform. While not the stranger to Montreal that Eminem has been over the years, Costello in straight-on rock mode is an increasing rarity, and he's a perfect choice for one of the "veteran" slots at Osheaga (as are the indestructible Canadian rock institution The Tragically Hip, which is also slated to perform)."

The Hip aside, that is an extremely disappointing lineup. I'd heard the beasties, strokes and Pulp were all rumoured at one point. Bah.

Buffalo folks. Look for July 30 at the new waterfront venue downtown. Buffalo place rocks the harbor.

But the nice thing about this venue - tickets are generally only $12.00!!!!

I guess I know what I'm going to do on my birthday.

I'm gettin old. I would prefer they play at HSBC Arena. Every year it seems Govt Mule plays that date at the Harbor. It was either scorching hot or threatening weather. Id even prefer Darien Lake. Heck, for the amount of people that holds whys not back at Artpark. But you know me....I can't complain.

I really hope you aren't referring to the Osheaga line-up. I couldn't be more stoked for anything. I am selling my U2/Arcade Fire ticket in Moncton to venture to Montreal for the fest.
Bright Eyes (final tour), Mountain Goats, Eminem, Death Cab, John Butler, Flaming Lips, Sam Roberts, Death From Above (reunion)

spottrax Wrote:I shelled out the $$$. Got great seats. Not too many bands I would do that for... but the Hip are worth the $ in my book. Can't wait till July! (man, that is a long way away). My fingers are crossed that we get a little more than just the "hits" for that kind of dough. Also, (i know i am all over the place here) it would be cool if they continue the broken-down acoustic set in the middle of the show... That is simply awesome.
I managed to get some in the fifth row off to the side for $65 each, so I sucked it up and bought them. I'd feel silly if the Hip played in Windsor and I didn't see them. Paying half the price of the centre tickets didn't hurt, either.
...blo dates!?
