Wow I thought they'd skip Winnipeg this summer for sure, but damn it we're due for a summer Hip concert!

Was expecting them to announce the Moncton show this morning as well, but i wouldnt' sorry about it too much. I was told by very good sources that both INXS would be playing the Casino in July, and The Hip on June 28th. The INXS date was announced last night.

I hate how they do these presales. Wouldn't it make sense if they announced it today that you had to be a registered member as of LAST night at midnight to help curb scalping?

Anyone know the number of tickets allowed to be be purchases through the pre-sale?

Ok, so how does this presale work (for the Winnipeg show)? I am already on the Hip's mailing list, so I am assuming that's where I need to be registered. Will there be a password?

I am not 100% certain myself but I think it works as follows:

Go to: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://tickets.thehip.com">http://tickets.thehip.com</a><!-- m -->

Make sure you are registered (I used my Hip site registration and it worked)

Then go to the Wpg show and it shows the link to Tickemaster and the password, but the password is not yet available, it is just ****** for now.

So I assume, tomorrow morning at exact time the password is revealed.

You have to select the Hip in the "Select a seating chart" window.

Ticketmaster mentions VIP tickets available for the Edmonton show, but no pricing information for them. Does anyone know what the VIP tix cost for the Northlands show?

Cool, I can't remember the last time there was an outdoor Hip show in Vancouver (I don't count pemberton fest). Also wondering why Broken Social Scene aren't lending a helping hand at this show like they are in Edmonton and Winnipeg.

Northlands has a pre-sale starting at 10am on Thursday. (for Edmonton)

Looks like they are playing Ottawa's Bluesfest as well. Some of the other acts announced so far...Soundgarden, Steve Miller Band, John Fogerty, Peter Frampton, Rise Against, Black Keys, Ben Harper, Jennifer Hudson, Death Cab For Cutie, Blue Rodeo, Cheap Trick, A Perfect Circle, Flaming Lips, Huey Lewis, Billy Talent, The Roots, Erykah Badu, Three Days Grace, Joe Satrani, etc etc.

Saturday July 9th, 9:30pm for The Hip @ Ottawa's Bluesfest.
