Wow where has the time gone. WC had some great songs on it. And during that tour I witnessed one of my personal greatest setlist's of my Hip career at the Phoenix . Yawning, Tiger, Save the planet to name a few..great times

Yup, those were the days. The remarkable variety in their setlists from night to night was one of the things that truly set this band apart from others, and it was always fun trying to guess what they'd play. Such a shame that they've abandoned that in recent years. Remember when they used to workshop new songs in the middle of NOIS and Meridian? What happened to that? You go to a Hip show now, and you know exactly what you're gonna get. Yea they're still a decent live band, but that adventurous, experimental "anything can happen" spirit that they used to have is long gone. And that makes me sad.

Hang in there bro,the ride is not over till it's over.A Hip show for me is always an experience,it's what we make of it as much as the setlist and band themselves/I know they still have it in them to keep us happy! Still Love WC,that summer rekindled my love for this band,starting with the belleville show and the phoenix shows,I agree those were some of the best shows I ever witnessed,Also conceived my oldest daughter after one of those shows.lol

World Container may have been my most anticipated album ever.
I owned Up To Here and Music@Work in my collection, and I thought they were good records, but they were just albums in my CD collection.
Then summer 2004 happened, I turned 16 in July, and I went to work at a YMCA summer camp (One of those formative summers, ya know?). I was considered a 'junior' counselor, and my 'senior' counselor I was paired with for the beginning of the summer had this new little rocker of an album that had just come out... In Between Evolution.
I borrowed it and instantly fell in love.
After the summer, I got my own copy, and then come October, they announced a December concert in Saint John. I had never seen them before, as IBE was my current fav album, I knew I had to go. Scored second row tix... And that was the best concert I had ever seen. 16 years old and I was blown away. I instantly had to discover the back catalogue. The next two years of high school for me was filled with discovering every single song, and worshiping this band in a way that only a high schooler can do.
I became that guy that was always wearing those band shirts from the same band. I barely listened to anything else.
By summer 2005, I set up some 'B&P's, as we called them. I think I may have actually sent the blanks to Dana, although I'm not 100% sure who sent them to me.
But those shows I got were
1991-08-03 - Toronto, Ontario
2000-08-02 - Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
2002-06-27 - New York, New York
Those bootlegs will always be some of my favourite boots.
Needless to say, by Charlottetown 2006, I was a full on hip head.
And then they announced World Container... my first album release as a, let's say, top 1% fan haha
