Kinda what i was thinking.

But let's not lose sight of the fact that both were under constant duress thanks to Steeler and Hawk pressure all day long.

Hats off to Holmgren, Cowher and their staffs for two excellent game plans

Is it that easy to get tickets out there or do you have connections?

well to answer your question - i got lucky both times --- part bc i do know certain people & part bc i was in the right place at the right time... this game was more of a fluke though - as my father called last wednesday and said he found/got 2 tickets - one for me and one for my younger sister. at first i tried to get him to go but finally couldn't handle it any longer and called him back and told him i'd love to go.

short of the last 3 hours and the actual time spent at the game, i've been in a bar practically all day watching football & drinking with great friends. to go even further, the game was f-ing amazing tonight...the energy was overwhelming. i'm not sure if you could see it but towards the end of the game, the guys were dancing on the field between plays & thier smiles were infectious. the fireworks was a fun touch too. a definite night to go down in the history books for the hawks...

anyway, hope you all had a great weekend...
catch ya later.... :thumb:
by the way all,
was hoping you could help me out. halfway thru my drive home, i filled my tank up with gas. anyway as i neared home, i pulled off the interstate and came to a red stoplight - my car started idling really low - as in low enough to start shaking like it was going to die with out me putting pressure on the gas pedal. then the light turned green and i started to go. next i pull up to a stop sign and again it starts to shake - this time it dies. i start the car up & thank god i was a block from home but it continued to do this anytime i took my foot off of the gas...and i'm talking trying to put the car from park into reverse - any time the gas was not applied.

my question is this, what is going on???? i've never had problems before & this is really strange to all of a sudden be happening. i'm thinking maybe i got bad gas???...pardon the pun, but i cant figure it any other way. i have half a tank left & am wondering if i go fill the rest of the tank up with good gas if maybe i can lessen the issue.

...isn't it better to have a full tank of partially bad/diluted gas vs a half of tank of really bad gas?!

car-savvy people, please help me!!!!!

I'm not particularly car savvy per se, but i doubt it's 'bad gas'. It sounds to me like a bad distributor or distributor cap. since this component distributes voltage to spark plugs to fire in proper sequence, a faulty one can cause problems like the one you are having.

Other than that, it could be that you need to replace your spark plugs, or that you have fuel line / fuel injector build up (corrosion / deposits)
Great game SeaHawks..
We totally got our asses handed to us..

*kicks door*

Yeah, that covers it. I had to replace my cap and rotor a little while ago and now my truck idles fine. If you have a mechanic put the computer on it and it shows misfires in all cylinders then it is your distributor. It's either gas or spark. Big Grin
yeah, uhh, this is a football thread, not a pimp my ride thread, take it elsewhere...

anyway, i was wrong about the Panthers, but the Steeleres still made it, i can't wait to see the Bus finally win the big one in his hometown...a storybook ending to an amazing career, Ray Borque style, except even better because it'll be in front of his hometown.

As you immediately proceed to discuss "The Bus"...
so noone has said anything yet, but are any of you even thinking about entertaining the idea of going to the superbowl???...
ever since last night - it's all i've been thinking about. my sister and i were tossing emails back and forth all day at work with all the deals we've been seeing online.
i know it would be a hell of alot of money but damn, it would be oh so fun. and hey, don't you think we should all go and experience it at least one time in our lives?!

just a thought from one football fan to another
I think it's going to be an interesting Super Bowl. Both the Steelers and the Seahawks looked really good in the games on Sunday. I've not been good at predicting how these playoffs have unfolded... I'd kind of like to see Seattle win it since they haven't won it all yet, but I'm not sure how they can get past Pittsburgh. The Steelers just have that "Team of Destiny" look to them.

Pitt 27, Sea 24 (sorry PortlandCarbo)

i hear ya buddy. i just think it would be amazing to go...regardless of who wins - at least it'll be an exciting game! lol, who am i kidding, it would be icing if the hawks end up taking control of the game and winning!...the hawks are going to need to play a brilliant game to get past all of the steelers experience of going to, playing, and winning at the bowl. it will definitely be something to overcome.

...it'll be a damn good game though!!!
