Ahh well... lets get some good support on the offensive line in the off season I guess. Time for a new avatar.

The O-line played great most of the year. For some reason, they couldn't pick up the Pittsburgh blitz. Also, I'd read all year how other teams don't blitz Indy because Manning handles it superbly. Well, that idea was blown out the window. Manning took a few sacks where he had Bledsoe-itis and thought he had 6 seconds to throw the ball. Manning choked again. Another wasted year for the Colts. Too bad because of all the teams in the playoffs I was rooting for them. Vanderjagt can't be so boastful of being the best NFL kicker anymore either. It's one thing to miss a kick but to miss it by that much in the most crucial play of the year for your team??? That's just pathetic.
He holds the NFL record for most consecutive field goals made. The pressure he was under for that kick was amazing. Now the Colts know how "unclutch" Vanderjagt is. Wow, that was horrendous.
here's my pick, the only one in this thread that matters...

same pick as last year...

STEELERS WIN THE SUPERBOWL!

i'm going to take Pittsburgh over Carolina for the Big One, in one of the best SB's ever...(yes, i know Seattle are good, and Alexander's a beast, but for some reason i have a gut feeling about Carolina, maybe it's because they made it to the SB a couple years ago, and they want badly to get back...? i dunno, just a hunch, they weren't called the Cardiac Cats for nothin')

Smith will work his magic and make it a close game for the Cats, but in the end, the Steelers decided advantage in RB's will be too much for Carolina to overcome...

also consider this, the Steelers will have already gone through the three best teams in the AFC: Cinci, Indi, Denver (and possibly in the NFL) in 3 consecutive road games, en route to Detroit, should they make it to the dance.
I think denver has to do the same thing to pittsburgh as they did to new england which is blitz the shit out of them. Indy let ben pick them apart by hardly never blitzing at all. The amount of pressure denver put on brady was amazing and i think that will really screw up big ben.

As for the NFC, i too like carolina to get past seattle without any problems. Devner vs Carolina for Super Bowl XL (For the bigger chaps!)
As long as Carolina throws the ball, there is no stopping us..

Is it that easy to get tickets out there or do you have connections?

I am just jealous, being here in Buffalo, the playoffs are only a dream PLAYOFFS?A great slot in the draft for a pick that will bust...now that is reality around here!

I am 24, hopefully we get there once in my lifetime.

Owner Ralph Wilson is 87...the clock is ticking for him!

GO BILLS!!

Yeah, the Bills will probably take a RB in the 1st round, or a speedy receiver maybe. Tongue I really like how Erik Flowers and Mike Williams turned out. They have to be two of the great 1st rounders in Bills history. Confusedhock:

Yeah and we really needed Roscoe Parrish too! The guy has speed but seems like he might snap in half when returning a punt into oncoming traffic!

I have faith in Losman. He has all the tools...but give the kid a chance and let him ride it out. How else are you gonna learn??

Marv will do something good with the 8th pick come April. But first off, how about a coach!

As a Bills fan, I would have like Sean Payton but it looks like he's off the market. Haslett is a crappy coach. I guess other choices are Capers, Jauron, April (their ST coach), Jerry Gray (why they would consider him I have no clue; great job this year Jerry, real good defense), Jim Fassel. I thought Mike Heimerdinger was going to be a candidate but I haven't heard him mentioned yet. I have a feeling executives around the NFL are laughing at the Bills and expect them to mess this one up. The Bills are the new Bengals, er Bungles I mean.

Roscoe will be injured. He's too damn small and not nearly as good as someone like Santana Moss. Hell, Moss looks huge compared to Parrish. He'll crack in two when Rodney Harrison or Zach Thomas or Troy Polamalu hit him with a good shot. All I saw from Roscoe all year was him tripping over his own feet. He must have learned that from watching Travis Henry.

All in all, the Bills biggest needs are an O-line and a big DT or two. If they improved the d-line the secondary would improve immensely. Nate had an off year but since the Bills have no pass rush, I can hardly blame the secondary since they had to cover for about 7 seconds. If they improved the O-line, obviously Mcgahee and Losman would have an easier time. You win and lose at the line of scrimmage. Donahoe didn't know this apparently and thus he continually acquired players in skill positions instead of getting players to do the dirty work to win games.

Sorry, but i had to dig that up because after this incredible Pitt run to Superbowl XL, i can't help but to be reminded of that Roethlisberger "overrated" avatar you so defiantly displayed earlier this year.

So what you think of Big Ben now?

Looks like he's one of the most competant QBs in the League! His playoff play was nothing short of spectacular.

Give it up for the Elway disciple Findlay, Ohio!!
I know its only halfway through the game - but it looks like its going to be (surprisingly) Pittsburgh & Seattle in the BOWL.
