to all of you who picked NE over them)
also, let me say, i'd love to see Favre in Miami, i think it could work...couldn't hurt to try, they could still keep gus and sage around.
Favre at this stage of his career is BARELY better than Rosenfals.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

I wouldn't be surprised if Favre comes back. That still doesn't change the fact that he's an old, washed up QB. I would say he's at the level of an average backup at this point. He just throws balls up for grabs ALL THE TIME.
One more year for Favre will mean a BAD YEAR for whomever he plays for.
I hear he will stay with Green Bay depending on who the next coach is and if they get some players, but thats hearsay right now. If he goes to Miami I think Ill puke, Id rather he retire than go to a different team. But if you want my opinion I think he can still be a reliable QB, not a superstar but good. But he deserves full credit for being such a stalwart at QB, he's played through some tough situations in his career, I think he's a perfect example of a leader and a true sportsman. Plus he's my favorite all time QB and one of my sports heroes. :thumb:
in my opinion, the reason Favre had such a terrible year was the amount of injuries to his receiving corps, the departure of two O-Linemen to free agency and the struggle to get the rookie receivers on the same page. Favre's always been a gunslinger and a risk-taker with his play calling and throws and I think at the NFL level if you constantly second guess yourself with the throws or decisions you've made you'll find yourself up in the booth or out of the street. If you look at the Packer receiving corps, Donald Driver was the only viable threat left after Walker and Fergie got injured. Chatman is small, doesn't always run the right routes and is a marginal return man. The rookies who had to take Walker and Fergie's spots had to learn on the fly. I think if the Packers draft smart and pick up some defensive end help in the first round along with some quality receivers in the lower rounds they have a good chance to make Brett look good again. I think he'll be around for another 2 seasons.

I respectfully disagree with this excuse. Of course Favre would have a few more TD's if he played with someone like the Colts but it doesn't change the fact that he's done as a player. He shouldn't need everyone else to be great. A great QB should be able to make things happen WITHOUT having ALL-PRO receivers. Who does Tom Brady have to throw to???? He doesn't have ANY star receivers. Branch is very good but he's about the only very good WR on the team. Teams can double him.
Favre is one of the all time best QB's to play the game. His time is done. He needs to exit gracefully before he seriously injures himself.
In other football news, looks like my Chiefs nabbed themselves a new QB as well as a new coach.. http://www.tsn.ca/cfl/news_story.asp?id=150333
I didnt see that coming at all, Printers is definitely a talent, he had some great numbers in the CFL, hopefully KC can make him into a NFL QB down the road, if so thats a real steal. Thing I like about Printers he's very athletic, he can throw well and run, I wonder if he'll be Green's backup next year, or a third man?
At any rate I guess this puts the BC QB controversy to rest, I was tired of hearing about it. Personally I would take Printers over Dickerson in the CFL.

Bit of a risk for Printers, but hopefully for him it pays off. The problem is players coming from the CFL to try out for NFL teams rarely get a fair shot. But it will be interesting to see how this pans out.

Yeah, just a few years ago Dickenson was a CFL MVP who went south and held a clipboard. He did get paid though.
I heard it was a 3 year deal for a little over a million dollars. That's strange because I believe he could have made just as much money in the CFL. That's assuming Buono would use him, of course. Well, at least Printers gets to make over 300,000 a year for holding a clipboard. That's not a bad job. Also, if some miracle ever happened and he did well in the NFL, he'd be in line for a BIG RAISE.
Here are my picks:
Seattle
Denver
Indianapolis
Carolina
My picks:

Trust your gut Lizardking. Trust your gut. :thumb:
I hear what your saying, I mean my gut last week did say the Pats, because, seriously, Jacksonville? Why I actually picked them was purely to show my grave disliking towards the Patriots.
Mike Mularkey resigns as the Bills head coach.
Great news here in Buffalo.
