Vinyl is NM with very little signs of playing, cover ex with one dinged corner and slight ring wear.overall I would rate it ex+
Vic, where and when did you acquire such an awesome hip vinyl collection? Jealous! (Also sad that its being sold instead of loved and listened to :music )

When I bought self titled off you a long time ago you said you didnt have any other vinyl. Was that a bluff or were the LBUs recent acquisitions you picked up to flip?

So I suspect we will see a few of these listed, now that a FC vinyl re-issue has been announced. If you see one for a reasonable price, jump on it. This original analog pressing is easily the nicest slap of Hip vinyl ever pressed (just ask anyone who owns a copy) and will trounce the digital sourced re-issue.

I though Ian Blurton had access to the original masters?

Master or no master, the vinyl will still be cut from a digital source...guaranteed. The proof will be in the pudding...

I'd assume that being recorded in early 90s that the process was digital, so the original pressing and remaster are both working from a digital source. I believe Up to Here was also recorded to digital.

The Bathhouse has digital and analog set-up, which is neat.
Never assume. FC and UTH were both recorded on tape (analog).

I think you are right - lots of people in vinyl for the dollars and cents as opposed to the love of the bands and their music. Like this "hipbaser" who has FC on ebay right now: memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=9657

I still appreciate you driving a copy of FC to my house years ago and regret not having time to spin it with you.

But aren't YOU assuming that they are cutting from digital... is your assumption based on the hip being all about the $ and profit margins?
Hey Scotty,

It's just the way it is done today. Even massive classic bands, with tons of $$$ like Pink Floyd (DSOTM & WYWH remasters) and Zeppelin (remasters), are cutting their re-issue vinyl from the digital master...it's just easier. As you know first-hand, the quality of the original Dutch pressing is second to none. Easily the quietest Hip vinyl record and possibly the best slap of vinyl that I own. Will I buy the re-master...no...but if I was into Hip vinyl and didn't own an original, absolutely.
