I never saw someone show this before:

It's the eBay dream: charge $18 shipping for ground delivery. Even better, in the States, our postal service has an option called "priority mail". For 4 bucks, you get free packaging material and can ship 3 lbs with an aprox. delivery of 2-4 days. eBayers will charge $15 for shipping and "handling" and then ship using this service. Lousy...

Yeah - I know that sucks.
But EBay is finally trying to combat the problem.
One new thing they are in the process of doing is listing the price + shipping right in the total price area - so you no longer see the "$14.99" price and get screwed by not noticing the shipping.
Now it would be listed at "$25.00" (the cost and shipping already added)
I'm pretty sure this is a bootleg t-shirt that people were selling after each of the Phoenix shows.

Yep!
And as far as bootleg shirts go... I'd prefer a Tragically Nip shirt over this one any day!!
Every day I wish I bought one of those.
One with the authentic boot print too....
D
Now this is interesting - but I am not too sure why the guys in the band would get rid of it, and I never knew they sang the anthem at the Olympics:
Labatt's Brewery bright red diecast 1947 steamliner presented to the rock band, The Tragically Hip, for performing "Oh Canada" at the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City

The description is wrong and I think that the guy selling it just happens to be named Rob and is trying to capitalize on Hip fan fanaticism. Send the link to MAv and see if he can/will verify that it belonged to Rob Baker.
It seems odd to me that someone would write a letter to Rob as a member of The Hip and mention "Will the Canadian Olympic athletes ever forget what a party they enjoyed listening to the "Tragically Hip" play in their honour?" instead of "listening to you and the rest of your bandmates" ...
I just threw out my www.thehip.com hat... it had been buried in the bottom of a box and was all deformed. Had I known it was a desirable item I would have it on eBay ages ago!
That sampler in the top left appears on eBay from time-to-time. I think I have a couple of them... even gave one to Trevor as a birthday gift last year IIRC.
That sampler is pretty cool. I lucked out about a year ago while searching through the eBay stores, and found a new one unopened for $0.99. I think I paid a total of $4 with shipping :thumb:

Haha. I figure I should get one at somepoint in time
trevor is a lucky guy!
MAv.
Has anyone every come across a black key lanyard with white "THE TRAGICALLY HIP" writing all around it? Like this, but with the different text obviously:

I got one at the 2000 show at the ACC, then lost it at the Edgefest show in '03.
Or does anyone have one they want to sell?

I just missed out the other day on getting a LBU double LP...upsetting...because it is the only the second one I have ever seen. It was also in near mint condition and went for 112$.
I hope for better luck next time, and for it to give me a few extra seconds.

I love listening to the Hip on vinyl, especially UTH, RA and FC, however the LBU CD actually sounds pretty good compared to the LP...plus you can buy it new for $6. That being said, the 2LP version is hard to find and a must to complete any Hip vinyl collection.
