Lanny's facial hair is legendary, but in recent years I have to give Mike Commodore the crown..

You gotta admit, bringing the goatee strip/soulpatch/whateveryouwannacallit above the top lip in was pure gold. Jagr is such a trend setter.

only JaGr would retrofit the bobby orr Confusedcratch:
i`ve forgotten what it feels like to celebrate a penguins goal :nooooo maybe detroit is that good
Perhaps this was a bad sign for the Pens.

And lets hope this doesn't happen when the cup gets hoisted!
Looks like the Pens' inexperience has finally caught up to them...they looked lost out there tonight.
2 must wins at home, anything less, its over
How many points does Crosby have in the series? I could swear that he has at least five points more than Malkin based on what I've been hearing from the reporters and commentators. :nooooo :nooooo Why is Crosby getting a free pass and Malkin getting hammered constantly by unprofessional frauds like Greg Millen and even, to some extent, Bob Cole. Confusedcratch: After yet another game in which Malkin and Crosby were totally useless on the ice, Malkin was criticized ALL NIGHT by the CBC hacks and not a word was said about Crosby. Heck, after the game, Ron Maclean even found the nerve to say that "Crosby played his heart out." :what :what :what What a friggin' joke. :rambo: :rambo:

And the most experienced guy they have was too busy trying to give Franzen another concussion, not to mention trying to pick a fight with Datsyuk!?!

Nice, uh, "leadership" Gary.

Hey, cut Bob and Greg some slack. They have a tough time even knowing which player is which. Tonight I heard Bob call Rafalski "Hudler" and "Maltby", and he referred to a missed opportunity by Hossa as a missed opportunity by Crosby.

See, that's what would be good about the Leafs making the Cup - Bob Cole would be able to name at least one team's players correctly.

While it's not much to brag about, Crosby was definitely the best player on the ice for Pittsburgh. If your hate for him didn't allow you to see that by watching the game, the boxscore (as bad as it is) provides further evidence. Crosby was even with 6 shots. Malkin was -2 with no shots, and really he's been invisible since the Philly series started.
Did anyone hear the post game interview with Max Talbott? He made a reference to a soccer game regarding Osgood? Confusedcratch: I did not catch exactly what he said, Anyone?

for the record; I am not too worried...yet

Do you guys agree with the reference made earlier about why a lot of people hate the Wings, they say it is the NY Yankees thing, they are one in the same.

Well, they both are always in the playoffs, is that what they mean?
crosby has been 100x better than malkin this series and half of the eastern final but still nowhere near good enough....and has anyone seen marian hossa? as bad as malkin has been, hossa hasn`t been much better

Talbot said something along the lines of "This isnt a soccer game" or something like that. IMO (as a long time Red Wings fan) is that yes, Osgood did embellish the contact, but on both plays he was hit. The second one, i think was Sykora hit him behind the net, Sykora definitely went to rub out Osgood, looked like he kinda missed a bit, but he still did get his shoulder.

As for the Yankees comment, if your referring to the Red Wings, buying up all the good players that seems ridiculous, cuz the majority of their talent is all their own draft picks. If you're referring to the fact that they are constantly in the playoffs, I say Good for them!!! Thats why they're in the league to make the playoffs and win the cup, and if other teams can't figure it out yet, maybe they should watch more closely what the wings are doing.
