When you think about it, I also find it odd that the Montreal writers would get so butt-hurt from somebody cheering for Boston. Grapes did coach Boston and has every right to cheer for them. It's amusing that the crybaby Montreal writers are so sensitive that they can't accept that not everyone in the world is cheering for the Habs. :nooooo :nooooo
Anybody watch the TSN crew during the 1st intermission of the Caps/Flyers game? They were slobbering over Price and talking as if Tim Thomas was a bum. It was disgusting. Milbury even went as far as saying that Thomas should have stopped the Montreal goal tonight, even though it was tipped in by his own player. There's not much a goalie can do about that, but Milbury, the uneducated, unqualified to talk about hockey, bum decided to try to act like he knew anything at all about what he was talking about. :rambo: :rambo:

It reminded me of the NFC Championship two years ago when the Chicago Bears were facing the New Orleans Saints, and everyone wanted to know who Mike Ditka was going to pick, and he refused to say anything until the day of the game.
I remember when it came his time to make his pick, and he basically said "Are you kidding me? I will always be cheering for Da Bears," and got really worked up (in a good way) about it.
To be honest, I think it's refreshing to see someone on CBC and / or TSN rooting for the Bruins.

i missed his "wisdom" tonight. What insight did he bring to the table tonight?

All he did was point out the obvious and tell the world how ridiculously sensitive and insecure the Montreal writers are. :rambo: And, he also pointed out the obvious in saying that referees call too many penalties because they don't want any rough stuff in the NHL these days.

yeah..he's a fucking genius

cratch:
It's come to the point when almost every penalty is the result of a dive. How can any sane hockey fan respect these players?
What do you know? The Habs score on a powerplay. Great stuff. Awesome refereeing these playoffs. :nooooo :nooooo :nooooo I like watching teams play 5 on 5. But, I guess that would make the game seem less "sexy" to the fans. :nooooo :nooooo :nooooo
Good god, just shut up already, do you even like hockey? or do you just like bitching about it?
oh wait, you're a Canucks fan...i already know the answer to that one

I don't like watching hockey half as much as I used to, to be honest. The refereeing in hockey these days is an abomination. Players are getting penalties these days for being stronger than the opposing player. It's garbage.
Ooooooh, you got me there with the Canucks comment.   :?
Bad officiating is nothing new to hockey...growing up watching the Wolves, i've come to expect that every game is poorly officiated. They can make bad calls, and they can miss calls, but they can't put the puck in the net...
i was gonna make another Vancouver joke there, but i actually have a soft spot for them (and all of the Canadian teams for that matter...except for Ottawa, I hate Ottawa) . The point is that what the players do on the ice is ultimately more important than what the refs do...if the team is good enough, they'll kill the bad penalty, or they'll create more scoring chances and forget about missed oppertunities...if they're not, then they'll make excuses about it after the game.
PRICE IS GOD!!!
Lick it Tiger!!

You forgot to mention that he pointed out that he was coach of the year in Boston, and then mentioned something he was right about a few years ago and also blamed Anaheim getting beat out by the fact that they had to go to England at the start of the year.. I don't blame him for cheering for Boston though
Bob Cole can barely talk with his lips firmly pressed against Price. Makes me fucking sick
