Yes, and playing 34 games last season negates him being a rookie this year..

Big Grin :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: I was hoping that Washington could get them in the first round but it was not to be. :?

I was almost wishing for a game 5 in Pittsburgh. The lay off is gonna be long and I don't want the down time to adversely affect the boys. They better skate their asses off the next few days to get ready for a real team.

The Scranton Pens are in playoffs vs. Hershey Bears. Go Baby Pens Go!!
great OT Was/Phi
end-to-end :jump
I only watched the 2nd OT of that game, the Flyers were really taking it to the Caps.

I watched the Dallas/Anaheim game last night, the Stars have the defending champs on the cusp of elimination. The goal in the 1st period that was waived off was a joke, no way was that goaltender interference. Thankfully the Ducks goal later on was disallowed because it was ruled the puck was kicked in, but that one was actually the correct call. The Stars are playing very solid hockey right now & are looking like the Cup contenders everyone had them pegged as a the the deadline. Marty Turco had a hell of a game last night.
On the flip side, the Ducks just don't look right. Their allstar defense corps has been average at best, and i don't know, they just look off. Teemu Selanne had 2 tap in chances last night and missed the net on both of them!

Looking forward to to tonights game, the Rangers have a chance to advance. But i have to admit, the prospect of a Rangers/Penguins second round matchup scares the hell out of me.

Yeah, the Ducks aren't right. Dallas got screwed over on that disallowed goal, too.

Refs are as horrible as ever this postseason. In the Flyers/Caps game alone, there were two Caps players carved up by Philly sticks without any high sticking penalties being called. Apparently, the four officials can't see what is in front of them. :? Then, the ref tried to decide the game basically by himself by calling a goalie interference call on Victor Kozlov for getting pushed into Biron. :what The penalty was bad enough, let alone being called with a little over two minutes left in the third period. Just inexcusable.

The Caps got called numerous times for too many men. That's inexcusable. It was an action packed game, though. Federov, Jurcina, and Kozlov are huge liabilities out there for the Caps. Ovie should be playing with Semin and Backstrom. I think it would work. Federov and Kozlov are horrendous players. Ovechkin has played alright this series, but not as well as he can. However, he needs help and can't win every game by himself.

Carey Price cracked. I guess he's human.

The last few seasons, Brodeur has been shaky in the playoffs. He seems to let in one bad goal a game nowadays. It's strange to watch. In his defense though, the Devils suck.

Craig Conroy is a horrible player. There, I said it. The Flames make way too many mistakes in their own end. Their defensive play is poor. Tanguay and Huselius have been no shows in these playoffs. Iginla had another strong game last night. Damn it, Iginla is a gem. He's money in the clutch. Like every other great player though, he can't do it all by himself.

I have a strong dislike for the Sharks.

The Spezza for Luongo trade rumours have lightened my mood in recent days.

Mike Gillis is a candidate for the Canucks GM position. Gee, isn't he Nazzy's agent? Yep. If it means Nazzy coming back to the Canucks, I'm all for ignoring Gillis as Canucks GM.
Spezza for Luongo??? holy fuck I hope that doesn't happen
opiated Wrote:Spezza for Luongo??? holy f**k I hope that doesn't happen

It won't happen. Frankly, I'm still trying to figure out how such a lopsided trade idea has gotten such play.

On another note.......

I just hate the Flyers. I'll just admit that right now. I hate their organization, I hate their players. I hate the fact that Pierre Mcguire won't remove his lips from Mike Richards' penis. I hate watching a coward like Upshall blatantly give a cheapsot to Morrison, have Mike Green stick up for his teammate by fighting Upshall, and then the Flyers end up on a powerplay because of the idiotic instigator rule. That rule is perfect for the Flyers , who are a team full of rats. I hate that Mike Green gets called for a penalty when he takes a swing but MISSES goofy jackass Derian Hatcher.
re: the Flyers...

AGREE 100 PER CENT... And Pierre Maguire continues to justify my hatred for such a pompous annoying dick-weed....you're right about the Richards thing..just let him cum in your mouth already and get it over with Pierre

And another thing.....

I hate watching a playoff game and seeing little guys stand in front of the net unharmed. If someone does touch them, the ref calls a penalty. It's ludicrous. Not being able to watch battles in front of the net is just horrible. It used to be accepted that to stand in front of the goalie, you'd have to pay a physical price. I just wish guys like Avery would have played in the 70's or 80's or even most of the 90's. Avery would have gotten his teeth knocked out on the spot if he tried those shenanigans back when hockey was a real sport; back before it was turned into some sort of gong show where there are no repercussions and the little weaklings skate free and clear, take cheapshots at the real players, and aren't allowed to be touched. :x :x :x :x

Don't get me wrong, though--- Dino Cicarelli was a black eye for the sport and the Broad Street Bullies were a black eye for the sport. I wasn't even born in the seventies, so I didn't watch that hockey, obviously. I only started watching hockey in the early nineties, really. I just want to go back to players having to pay the price for their actions. Is that such a bad thing to wish for?????????????

  I completely agree.. I absolutely hate the Flyers, for all of the above mentioned reasons... and Bobby Clark isn't even their GM anymore
Well great. My Devils prediction turned out swell....
So now I'll ask you guys... What bandwagon should I jump on? Or should I wait until round 2 to jump on one?
Avery called Brodeur "fatso" for not shaking his hand after the game..that Avery is something else, not sure whether to hate him or like him? He's a pretty effective player Ill give him that, the Rangers arent the same without him, I guess he's just one of those guys you'd rather have on your team than play against.

GO HABS TONITE!!!!

Put this baby to bed, we need the captain back soon.
