I believe it, but as I've said, the fact that you, me, or any other Joe Schmoe gives two shits whether an MLB third baseman makes $5 million, $10 million, $27 million, or $200 bazillion a year makes absolutely ZERO sense. He certainly didn't "sign" himself onto the club.

You claim that he has a bad attitude, yet the only examples you can come up with are googled quotes where, in their proper context, Alex is just defending himself against the obsessive, deranged NY media -- who simply follow the money, and the money is about whipping on the guy who people hate just because he has the biggest contract in baseball (and I've already explained how senseless that is), while giving free passes to his teammates.

Sheffield is being fairly vilified in this case... because he's a freaking idiot! He's essentially a racist too, in a sense, because he's belittling Latino players by calling them easy to control. Then again, like I said, he's an idiot so... 'nuff said i guess.

jays showed a lot of heart tonight, loved it

Nice to see the Jays' bats finally come to life tonight. After being down 8-1 at one point, they put up six runs in the bottom of the ninth to win it 12-11, with the winning run coming on a bases-loaded walk. It makes up for a sketchy outing by Roy Halladay, who pitched pretty similar to the way he did in the two starts before he went down with his appendix problem. Makes one wonder if there isn't something else wrong with him health-wise...

Tampa Bay's bullpen just absolutely stinks to high heaven. Besides Reyes, they all should be somewhere playing rookie A-ball, that's how terrible they are.

For the record, you said I look only at stats and don't watch the games enough to make valid assessments (which is dead wrong in the first place). That's dismissive, which is essentially telling me I can't hang in the conversation.

And yes, I do think "the rules" apply to everyone including A-Rod. Did the ump immediately call him and the batter out when he savagely stuck his elbow out at Pedroia? :lol: Nope. I guess it wasn't "against the rules", huh?. If I see my teammate do that, I commend him, even if the ump does rule interference on the play. And if the rookie Pedroia doesn't like it, can just drop his arm down and dot Alex the next he comes in.
