That hewed pretty close to the original. I'm surprised at the lack of crowd response at the beginning of the song once it's clear that it's Nautical they are playing. I thought there would be a little more intersection between Hip fans and fans of Billy Talent.

Anyone catch what he says at the end? He says "Thank you... something". Is it "Thank you Gord!"?

Usually I can't stand Billy Talent, but that was a terrific version of Nautical. Very faithful and respectful of the original.

Billy Talent is one of my top 5 bands and seeing them cover my favorite bank is pretty great. Shows the universal respect for the Hip among Canadian musicians of all genres.

Wow, that's easily the best cover version of Grace I've ever heard. I imagine that's a really tough song to play, just because it's so uniquely "Hip", and it's impossible to get the correct feel and sound. But kudos to the Trews for a pretty killer take on it.

I guess there is more ways of paying tribute than just covering a song.

CALGARY - A contemporary ballet inspired by the music of The Tragically Hip will be one of the focal points of the 2017-2018 season for Alberta Ballet.

Artistic Director Jean Grand-Maitre and executive director Chris George announced the lineup for the 51st season this week.
It includes a new family ballet, three internationally acclaimed guest companies and the world premiere of "All of Us," the Tragically Hip piece.

Grand-Maitre has previously collaborated with artists including Elton John, Sarah McLachlan, k.d. lang and Joni Mitchell on ballets incorporating their music.

The proposal was first raised last fall with members of The Tragically Hip, which embarked on a cross-Canada trip widely expected to be the last with frontman Gord Downie, who was diagnosed with an incurable form of brain cancer.
In a statement, the band members shared their enthusiasm for the project, pointing to the successes of Grand-Maitre's past collaborations.

Dallas Smith played Kingston the other night and pulled off a pretty good version of Grace Too.
