Just came across this cool Gord tribute by Jeff Martin (The Tea Party).

Lovely performance of Wheat Kings from the Massey Hall celebration last night, featuring Sarah Harmer, Joel Plaskett, Jim Cuddy, Sam Roberts, and others.

Wow, that was really well done. I find the best covers are when the artist adapts the song to their unique style and makes it their own. Great job by July Talk.
That song is a nice fit for their typical tete a tete onstage performance. Full marks to July Talk for digging deep for a cover choice!

They sure are taking their sweet time with their new album. 5 long years since Lightning Bolt. C'mon boys, get this thing finished and put it out already!
Also, Paul responded to Jeff's t-shirt on Twitter.

Another one! Taylor Hawkins of the Foo Fighters rockin' a picture of Gord on his bass drum during the Foos' Ottawa gig the other night.

I love all these bands paying their respects. I don't want these tributes to ever end. There is a real 'feel good' quality to them.
Was at the Foo Fighters in Ottawa.
Totally didn't see that. WOOOSH
