I know for World Container Vancouver and Calgary had those warmup club shows, the band skipped these cities on the Canadian tour, then played there in the summer. I'd imagine the big cities they're skipping will get shows in the summer. Also, it looks like they haven't played Saskatoon and Regina in quite a while on the same tour, it's usually one or the other.
I'm interested to see how the Brandon show sells on a Monday night in January. I had tickets to the Brandon show in 2004 that was cancelled in favour of playing the Grey Cup the day before. I remember that show in Brandon couldn't have sold more than 500 tickets at the time it was cancelled so I'm sure that had something to do with them taking the Grey Cup show too.

I was comtemplating Red Deer as well, but then I realized it's on a freakin' Tuesday night and I'd have to work the next morning. So screw that. This could potentially be the first Hip tour I've completely missed out on since 1991, and that saddens me. Perhaps it's because they played here in July and the band's management figures we've already gotten our fill? Who knows.

I've never seen them States-side, so I have my travel agent looking into every date in December, and I'll go to whichever travel package is cheapest. Billings or Vegas? Let the free market decide!

With no west coast dates, I imagine the Seattle show will become a lot closer to selling out.

I'm so going home to Sudbury to see them at the arena, i haven't missed a Sudbury show since 1994 (i was 9 then, and i don't think i was allowed to go lol)!

I thought I read that the US tour was An Evening With or am I mistaken? Nothing against an opener but given a choice I'd take an evening with. The did arena sized evening with shows in 2000 and they were great. Probably the last time the set lists seemed really inspired to me.

Yup, the U.S. tour is "evening with". Weird that they're not doing the same on the Canadian side.
