Well said, my good man, well said!
Buy tickets for a less popular band. Or wait until the main on-sale through TicketBastard.
The Hip are a hot ticket.
got a couple level ones for red deer. will try for edmonton when the ticketmaster sales start up.

It shows up at the release time - not before.

thank you.
now to get the page to even show...... 8)
Kingston and guelph fully out of stock, thunder bay, kitchener, and Oshawa only have price level 1 available.
Most shocking (to me) is that Toronto is only sold out of the uppers. Wonder if they had a smaller # of tix allotted up there, or if people just didnt want to pay triple the cost to sit close
For people that are complaining about how tough it was to get tickets, you've never gone through a Pearl Jam fanclub on sale. Those are sometimes all-day events. In fact, the 2011 tour turned into a four-day event.

I was shut out buying PJ tix through the presale at MSG '10. Ended up getting public onsale tix, and better seats than my friends who were successful in the presale...
If I recall correctly there was the initial PJ presale for MSG 2010 that turned into a debacle. Because of that there was a second presale for 10c members on ticketmaster that had pretty poor seats.
yup, i concur with rye. this was a piece of cake compared to some pj sales. the worst. hes not kidding when he says DAY LONG events.
Was tied up and not able to get online right at 10:00. Tried at 10:06 for Edmonton and after filling out all my information, including credit card number, received "not able to process your request" message. What especially sucks is that it said fan club members were guaranteed the first 10 rows on the floor for price level 1. So maybe only those 500 or so seats were available for pre-sale. Oh well. Try for real on Friday I guess.
EDIT: Tried again for Level 1 and got 2! Apparently I typed in my credit card # wrong or something. Now hopefully everything is kosher with the transaction. I'm not thrilled with this whole "we can't tell you where you'll be sitting, but trust us, you have tickets" thing.
Got my self a Level 1 ticket for the Kitcheneer show. Couldn't find anyone to go with so I guess I'll see how it will be to go to a concert alone.
Going back through my show history. This'll be my eighth Hip show and every time at a different venue. SkyDome, Molson Amphitheatre, Air Canada Centre, and Fort York in Toronto, The Vogue in Indianapolis, The Commons in Niagara-on-the-Lake, and Northlands and Rexall Place in Edmonton. Best show of my current seven has to be that second night at Fort York. What a setlist.
Got two Level 1s for Red Deer. Was contemplating Cranbrook--first night of the tour, small venue, could've combined it with a day skiing in Fernie--but not at those prices. Those prices ensure that this is a one-show tour for this guy.
Also: if anyone thought today's presale was bad, I'd invite them to try a Pearl Jam Ten Club presale. This was a piece of CAKE compared to that (and I was helping friends with Ontario tickets, too). Always look on the bright side etc.?
