But, although a bit pricey, all proceeds are going to Waterkeepers and Camp Trillium..........
No word yet on any opening act. As I mentioned before, the rumor a few weeks back was The Headstones........
As far as saying "an evening with"........thats what they labeled a few of the Sates side shows also, but it was a regular set...........we can dream though!
How big of a Venue is this? Think the show will sell out because of the location? Man the title "An evening with" makes this show sound enticing even for the $70+ bucks
It will sell out. It is the grand opening of the new arena.
6,800 attendance for a concert: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.cityofkingston.ca/residents/recreation/arenas/sports-entertainment-centre/about.asp">http://www.cityofkingston.ca/residents/ ... /about.asp</a><!-- m -->

blue rodeo are playing on feb 27.
That's awesome. I wish I could make it back to K-town for that gig...but trips home in December and late January, plus work-related jaunts to Vancouver and weddings in Ottawa and Thunder Bay should effectively dash all hopes. Still, that doesn't mean I can't wish the ones of you who do get to go have a kick-ass time! :mrgreen:
im ashamed to say that im purchasing spice girls tickets for my girlfriend the day after these tickets go on sale, and i probably cant afford both...

Perhaps I can talk someone into a sweet christmas present for moi.

quite a few of the 2006/07 shows were billed as "An Evening With..." but it was pretty much the standard 18-19 song set with a three song encore.
All of the 2006 club shows, Rochester (March 07), Buffalo (March 07), Detroit (April 07), Cleveland (April 07) and Kee To Bala were all billed as An Evening With.
beginning of my reading week...
hopefully will be able to make the trip from london :mrgreen:
It sounds like a full hip show to me. Someone correct me if I am wrong. Look forward to it.

Awesome...I've already got a hotel room booked, now to get tickets!!
I can't see any reason why this wouldn't be a two and a half to three hour show, much like the shows we were privy to witness in 2000. They take the stage at 8:00, it's their hometown (Across the Causeway was a remarkable performance), they will be sufficiently rested (this isn't the middle of a tour), and tickets are going to be $80 (I don't think they'd short-change the Kingston faithful, especially given Rob's vocal involvement in getting the arena built); also, I suspect we might hear a new tune or two.
In keeping with the bi-annual release of a new album, this will be 2008 after-all, and certainly much closer to an unannounced album release date then the 'last bash in Barrie' at Edgefest in 2003 when they played 'You're Everywhere', and 'Goodnight, Josephine' about 10 months before In Between Evolution was released.
Now, to get tickets.
