How about that US men's ice hockey team? They could win one group play game and still win the gold (although it won't happen). Imo, that's lame.
The setup should be: the top three teams from each group advance. Group winners get a bye (and an earned extra day of rest). A2 v B3 and A3 v B2. Winner A2/B3 plays B1 and winner A3/B2 plays A1.
A couple of the guys should do us all a favour and take a fall a la Jose Theodore.
Get Staal on that ice!!!!
"I'm pretty sure we could only bring those guys in as injury"
Canada vs. Czech Republic 2/21 4:30 p.m.
Is that 4:30 EST time?

i think its at 10:30 am ET
congrats to the CDN women's hockey team. Although the score was close, after 2 sweden only had 5 shots, still lots of work to be done to be a real threat, but hopefully it will happen, the sport needs more than 2 teams.
the men's game is in the morning
Just heard that it's to Sweden's advantage to lose on purpose, so they play the Suiss, instead of Canada

2-0 Canada already. 4 minutes left in the 1st.
3-0 now. Looks like the boys have finally found their scoring touch. They're skating much better today too, and they've got a lot more energy.
Canada getting their asses handed to them in the 3rd. 3-2 now with 14 minutes left.
Canada wins! (barely). We were outshot 33-16, which is NOT good. But hey, it's a win. Brodeur was amazing.
What the fuck is Mcabe doing on this team? The only time he sees he ice he takes stupid penalties. Thank god Phaneuf is sitting at home.
How many times did bob and harry mess up? Harry called robert lang , robert long all game and bob called the wrong names all game long.
Not to mention the breakdown of the replays was just terrible.
I've been listening to these guys all my life and love them, but i think it might be time to give the gondola to someone else

That's interesting, considering the Swiss blanked Canada 2-0.

Not only that, but Sweden seems to have a short memory given what the "easy" matchup against Belarus did for them in '02.
